Doesn't matter who we want because the B1G has shown itself to be a pretender of a conference this far, while the SEC has proven that it's rock solid. Based on how its six conference mates have gone out, does anyone have any faith that Penn State can win this game in Red Stick? Sorry, Icebear.
Penn St. without a doubt.
Doesn't matter to me. I really don't have a huge preference. I like when we beat SEC schools. So if I was forced to pick, it would be LSU.
Let's be very careful of what we wish for .......LSU nor Penn State didnt get here by magic. But by beating another good team. K-State was wishing to get a chance at playing UConn after being in our Region the last few years and look what happened. If we can play with energy and intensity on every possession , at both ends of the court, I too think we can beat anybody. But teams get very dangerous when playing for a spot in the Elite 8 , and ultimately the Final 4.
To doggydaddy. The point was not to wish for one over the other......That both are good and are dangerous. In other words, be careful of what you wish for.Not sure of your point. UConn will have to play one or the other, so what is the issue for stating a preference?

I'd rather they just kick butt. It's not the time to learn something. And kicking butt will add to their momentum. In the NCAA I respect all opponents i.e. Ball State. I'm not exactly wishing one opponent over another and if I was I'm also wishing we continue to win - got it all covered. I would like UConn's next opponent to be of a caliber and style of play that our girls could learn something from and add to their momentum against the next challenger. That said, and I don't pretend to know much about LSU or Penn State but I think Penn State should be able to provide that.
Baylor had a killer first round - we will see how they do against Cal.
