I voted, but I hope he'll stay at UConn for years...Who knows, maybe he'll lead us into the B1G!!!
I don't think Narduzzi was Warde's choice.
Player development gets an A from me.
In game coaching, a C.
I'll take it though.

He has true freshman coming in after a 2-10 season that are beating out upper classmen. I think that speaks volumes to PP and co's inability to identify and mold talent. I am not sure what else could be expected at this point. I personally think he is gone the minute he has that breakthrough season, but at that point the culture of the program and talent within the program will hopefully be of the quality to entice another quality coach, and for this I am relieved. We had basically been reduced to a G5 football wasteland when PP was shown the door. He has basically rebuilt the UConn football program in 2 years. So yes, I think he was the perfect guy for the job at the time, and has delivered on his end of the agreement to date.

I'd argue the former is more important than the later, and that's it's easier to get better at the latter than the former. It's a good place to be at year 2. If recruiting is a C+, player development is an A, and in-game coaching is a B, you can win a solid amount of football games.
No. I am saying I want to see more of Coach D's recruits next year so I can assess talent level. Being able to spot talent is a big part of this job.
Tough ti judge development because we have a ton of young players playing right now. (And some very promising ones). I can say the O Line has regressed. Think about that statement.
Dr the last two games this year and people will be calling for BD's head.
Jax Husky said:O line has not regressed. That's asinine, imo. Those guys were weak and getting their butts kicked last year.
There wasn't very far to regress but they have. Believe me it pains me to say.
I just figured the 'opposite' was meant to modify complete so he was describing an 'incomplete disaster' - given another year, though, PP could've finished the job. What's the equation comparing the opposite of a complete disaster to a complete &:$@show?
I thought I was good at math but I'm lost.
two weeks in a row, the broadcast crews have highlighted the ol as a strength. I know these are c-team broadcasters doing no homework but no one has laughed out loud in the chat room or the game thread. They've given up 4 more sacks than this point last season, but we've thrown for and rushed for more yards than we did all of last year. Uconn has run for 100 yards more this season, (in 2 fewer games), than in all of 2014. I see improvement in their strength and conditioning, if not necessarily in their technique and cohesiveness.
Completely agree. I'm most happy about going into the The Rent now looking forward to the game and not just the tailgate before the game. Been a long 4 years. There's probably a 80%+ probability that we lose both of these games - I understand the BY isn't the place for realism but the odds of UConn beating a Top 25 ranked team this season seems incredibly low. Is it possible? Sure. Reasonable to expect? Not really.
We're 5-5 and with the possible exception of ECU, the teams we have beaten this year are anywhere from miserable to pretty bad. We're certainly improved but it would be a stretch to say that we're even competent yet.

Tdaley said:Our tackles have improved over last year. Our tight ends have block better than last year. The 3 inside guys have struggled more than the rest with two of them being first time starters. I'm guessing that next year we may have 3 new starters in the interior of our offensive line. Despite what the UConn depth chart states, I'm guessing that Peart, Crozier, Rutherford and maybe Oak will be pushing some of our current starters off the starting line. The following year we will have to replace our tackles and there may be more shoveling of positions. Overall, our oline has improved over last year although I thought and hope they would have been a better run blocking force than they have shown this year.
I'm not sure that our Oline is much better. I think the quarterback's mobility has covered a lot of ineptitude there.
