Having a meeting with the guards and getting their input a pure psychological genius. Bria willingly stepping to the bench while Caroline starts and MoJeff gathering minutes means to some sense the kids all feel accountable for participating in specific roles and the health of the team. It shows.
Great point. Also, Hartley subjugating her ego and showing that she understands "team first" has to bring the team together for the ultimate goal.

My answer is d-ish...I think at this time of year it's all about Moriah, and the rest of the team, just deciding to take care of business...is anyone here surprised that they know how...?

The coaches do the preparation...and play with the strategy...and look at all the combinations...then it's all about being a player...

Talked to Doug Bruno last night for this week's Dishin & Swishin podcast; even he said Geno was struggling with the team all season, struggling to find the right combos, the right buttons to push, etc etc.

Sometimes when you not playing well and the pressure is put on you to either produce and play well or get beat bad this is what happens. We have some terrific players and I think this is exactly what happened. Remember the ole saying when the going gets tuff the tuff get going. Well IMO when we got to the NCAAs the mindset was all about winning and doing what needed to be done to win. Lets just hope we can come out with a knock out punch that requires us to grind it out and that will force us to focus on what we need to do to win and make plays.

Geno has been quoted by the Horde a number of times this season, expressing the same sentiment -

I think there's a lot of truth in 22B's post. Geno's rotation in the BE final was a headscratcher.

It may be that Geno was protecting MoJeff in the BE tourney final because he didn't feel she was physically up to playing vs Diggins. She's a freshman and she's awfully slight. You have her long term development to consider.

I think he finally decided, post BE tourney, that we need a point guard out there, and that maybe lengthening the bench wasn't a bad idea either.

MoJeff provides a whole new dimension. She is our only real option at the point, except for Hartley who's more of a 2 guard.
