Second, being a catholic school one is forced to take a one sided philosophy, and/or theology course per semester. Unless one wishes a career in Catholic religion how does that make bcu a better school than UConn?

Just to clarify BC, like many schools, have a core curriculum that everyone must take. It includes English, History, Science etc. As part of this core curriculum you need to take a theology course and a philosophy course. So out of the 38 courses you take over four years two are theology and philosophy. In addition those two courses do not necessarily relate directly to the Catholic religion. Although it is a Catholic institution it in no way forces Catholicism on anyone that attends. But again do we want the facts to get in the way of a good discussion.

You can argue about which school is better now or will be better in the future all you want, but the idea that UConn has "bad academics" is laughable.
