I just want us to win the A12 every year and it's easier to do it in Hartford.

Seems like they are trying to get uconn to stay or it is a sign we are staying

Not a sign. Until we are gone, we'll assume we are here. We will lobby for the tourney but bolt if asked to join another conference. It's all about what's best for UConn at this point.

Hartford. New England and NYC could make a popular tourist destination for fans of other schools. Only issue with Hartford is we might be next in line for conference realignment.

Lets face it Hartford is a ghost town.

Unless people are going to drive an hour to the casinos there is really nothing to do in the Hartford area.

Hartford used to perk up nicely when the XL was in use. I would think downtown would be hopping with the tourney in town and its very manageable on foot. Not sure how it is over the last 10 years or so.

I have high hopes for the new Infinity Hall. If it's half as good as the original, I'll be psyched.

Hartford, regardless of which is a better destination. After this year, the conference owes us. Even if we get an invite, we won't be out of the league by 2014. For what it is worth Hartford should go out of it's way to put lipstick on the pig with a clean up plan, and special events out the wazoo. It is it's opportunity to show off itself and the state as a destination.

If its Memphis, you can expect Fed Ex to pony up big sponsorship bucks. And Rudy Gay to be court side.

Why do we expect FedEx to do anything? Wasn't this Memphis' original selling point, and subsequent to their addition we have a smaller TV deal, less access to bowls, still no Liberty Bowl, and no sponsorship that I am aware of.

So the answer is simple - Hartford. Because as others noted it will be easier to win here and we just need to win.

Hartford isn't a ghost town if you know where to go. Oh and where not to go, fortunately I've been on both sides of the track.

i was just there for the women's tourney with my parents and it was pretty hoppin. Good place to hold it IMHO. If anyone thinks that holding it there would keep UCONN in the league should any other league come calling, however, they are deluded...

It really should be played in Memphis but for selfish reasons I want it in Hartford

Memphis is good, especially for a week long tourney. Media would be attracted to it as well, as there is lots to do. Could get some nice themes (e.g. bbq, jazz, country, etc..) going along with some good contests. Also Memphis would be warmer this time of year than Hartford, so outdoor activities would be hoppin.

Hartford is nice but warm weather trumps staying indoors for everything. Sort of like Spring Break for basketball.

Memphis has closer casinos in Tunica, which also has some great golf courses. Tomorrow it is suppose to be 74 and sunny in Memphis. 18 holes, great BBQ, a couple of basketball games and then Beale St. Not a bad weekend.

Once you've spent a Sunday morning at BB King's House of Blues enjoying a made to order breakfast while listening to a live gospel ensemble and sipping cool mixed drinks you'll know what the correct answer is.

Plus Beale St. on Friday and Saturday. Live music of every genre, street performers, bbq, and chicken and waffles. You get the point. Hartford counters with pizza and hot dogs.

Why not the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY ? They are hosting the A-10 tourney this week. It wouldn't be the same as MSG, but still in NYC.

I think you answered your own question. They have a 5 year deal with the A10
