Quite frankly, we are in a holding pattern until the football program blows up enough that Coach D & P get replaced. At best zone blocking with 2nd and 8 - followed by a penalty, turnover or punt. ......over and over again.

The one caveat is putting McCummings in as the regular QB. - but do I see that happening. Coach D would use RG3 as a Wildcat only QB.

The difference between RG3 and McCummings is that one of them can throw.

I've advocated for McCummings to be put into another position, in order to utilize his athleticism (RB, slot receiver, etc.). But I cannot for the life of me figure out how there are still UConn fans who believe that McCummings is the answer as a full-time QB. He was the fourth best throwing QB on our team before Cochran got hurt, at which point, he was tied for third...

Wah wah wah that's all we hear. If anybody from the outside peered into this board they would say the fans have given up.

It's appropriate that we express our opinions and say what we feel, but EVERY POST turns into some rant about the coaches or some of the other usual crap. Honest it's OK to vent. I have done it like the rest.

The reality is life goes on and for now we have a spring game and some new players. We have a challenging schedule next year. I have not given up on the kids or the new recruits or the program. Nobody is happy all of the time. Another post about the staff is not going to save us.

for the ppl who don't like the bitching and moaning that i and others carry on with, i have to ask-wtf is so good right now that u want to talk about? i mean that in the nicest way possible. uconn is in a meltdown of epic porportions and if u can't see that then god help you. every program in athletics has a problem, even our good ones. thats just insane and shouldn't be tolerated. yet some here want to talk about christmas presents and lolipops. ppl ask me wtf i am smoking here as a funny joke a lot. thats fine all is fun on here, but if i was smoking i wouldn't be so dam angry about everything. your the ppl smoking as u seem happy as **** about whats going on. we can't even get our brand right on a box of ****ing hoodies to sell at bobs. we can't even print our a ****ing copy of the last decades geno contract and have him just sign it and change the dam date. we can't beat mid majors in soccer like lindsay lohan can't beat a bad idea. we can't market ourselfs any better then the convenience store down the street from my house with 2 terrorists working it full time. we can't even begin to fiogure out big boy fball or how to actually dig the ****ing hole for the pf ahead of time. the list goes on for days. so i ask, there is over 100 negative things crashing down on uconn right now and u want to talk rainbows and championships? thats fine stay positive and talk in only positive threads. but for anyone to wonder why things are so doom and gloom leads me to wonder what your smoking. this place is a huge dumpster fire and so far its been almost a full year and our AD has yet to do 1 thing thats a base hit. seriously, tell me wtf he has done. bleed blue was a failure, i have beaten that to death. i remember last year when ppl here were killing me about a twitter # then we come out with one and its a bs job wiht no thought into it. what a **** up. scheduleing? ya right. u want to claim hockey upgrade? nice try that was all set before he sat in his seat in march. if u think he walked in here and snapped a finger then i a have beach house in hartford to sell u.

if u can't see why ppl are freaking out, then your blind. and what else is there to talk about? bball? then go to that board, we are in the reloading process with recruits and a great guy in KO, yet even this very important year in our bball history on many levels is getting over taken by the contract issue. its embarassing when certain ppl have been calling for this contract before the season starts and then we are now half way thru and major media heads have basically ripped the schools name to pieces during games about it and still we have nothing. it was supose to be done 2 weeks ago and once again there is a delay. un****ing real. fine then go hang out on the wbball board. they are doing well and thats great. the posters there have no clue whats going on becuase our brandings and marketing at this school is so ****ed that they dont know we play other sports or that our actually logo doesn't have a ****ing 3rd grade cartoon basketball in the middle of it. they are not worried about genos contract becuase they dont see all the other **** going on and think wow big problems, they just incocently figure it will get done. lets not talk about the attendance for there games becuase that would look at the ad poorly as result.

the issues are everywhere and its a serious fire, i suspect if u went back the the old scout board u might do well there for the simple fact there aren't any posters so u can keep threeads positive between yourself and the writer who is constantly 2 days late and a recruit star short. enjoy yourself and your rainbows and pots of gold. your school is burning down in the process. drink please!

Yes I clearly understood the point. Sometimes we need to really listen to ourselves though. I have been on this board for a very long time. I come to enjoy, vent, but for the most part discuss football. I understand that everybody is open to their opinions and, honestly, I respect everybody no matter what the opinion. I am not trying to regulate the discussion, but as a very long time member I should be able to give my impressions of what I see happening in a general sense..

It's just that it has been NOTHING BUT discussions about the coaches no matter what the subject of the thread. It has gone to the point of diminishing returns. Yes everybody and their brother is frustrated, but is that a reason to thread it in to every thread.

I have come to the board less and less and it's to the point that it's not worth clicking here unless we can go back to discussing the team from time to time. Maybe it's time to take a couple of weeks off.

Anyway to all a Happy, Healthy, Prosperous, New Year. For us here it has to be better that 2012.

I'm not sure he will be the offensive coordinator. Seems like Pasqualoni got a strong suggestion that a change was needed there. The majority of the movement among assistant coaches takes place either when a new guy is hired or after the bowl season. I expect we'll see a change in the makeup of the staff mid-January. New Defensive coordinator. New running backs coach and new offensive coordinator. Expect George to be named associate head coach, something like that to save face, and to get his pick of offensive assignments other than OC. I know Hughes is assistant Head Coach, but look for Deleone to get a similar/comparable title. Maye Hughes gets named Defensive Coordinator in exchange. At least that's what I would do were I Pasqualoni.

Did you read the Daily Orange article about when Jake Crouthamel told PP he had to make changes before his last season at SU? He took the OC title away from GDL & made him Asst HC. And GDL still called the plays & had the OLine. repeating their mistake; and WM knows this.

This is squarely on P and if he wants to arrange his own suicide then he'll keep GDL on the staff and in charge of the offense. There is absolutely no reason to believe the offense gets any better next season under GDL and the defense will simply not be what it was this season. That simple.

I will repeat myself for the millionth time. We had a top 10 defense nationally and solid talent and play at the QB spot. We also had zone blocking schemes no one understood, a 160 workhorse RB, the wildcat and trick plays. All we needed was another RB who could get north and south and break a tackle now and then to set up play action and more production out of two excellent TEs. Do that, with the defense from last season and we win a minimum of 8 games....minimum.
