They won't. This administration and athletic department has no nut sack.

They sure did when they entered into the contract from hell with Diablo the Deceitful.

You, unfortunately, have zero say in the matter. Oh sure you can rant, rave, bark fire and any other metaphor for being angry, but the bottom line is you're in no position to be dictating ANYTHING!!

Diaco's fate should not be tied to the buyout $$.
He has been horrible and brought the program to a new low.
For that he should be canned.

HEY UCONN, this is on you. Fire Disco, its time to take out the trash.
Yeah and after that, then what? Who will come take over this moribund program. If one will go to the Courant and read the comments, it will be seen that there are a lot of people who have had it with the coach, program, and AD. One comment asks the question what talented kid from FL, TX, LA etc would want to travel thousands of miles to play in a sub par conference, on a below par team. That sums it up. Even the most optimistic of you have to start to ask yourself is it worth it? Even if Diaco is fired, then you are back to square 1. New coach, new policy, same players. After the last 2 embarrassments, losing to one of the worst teams in the ACC, and the 2nd worst team.................after UCONN, in the AAC, you have to ask yourself, will it ever get better? Not being invited to the Big 12 was a blessing. Weekly blowouts to WVA, Texas Tech, Texas, Iowa ST. etc would not be good for the program. Many are saying 'chuck the whole thing, and go back to what was called Division 1-AA, or the FCS, or whatever they are calling it. Maybe reform the old Yankee Conference, LOL. There will come a time where the throwing of good money after bad will stop, and the powers that be will make the decision that this venture into 'Big time' college football is over. The time has come, do you really want to endure a new coach, new program and another 2-3 years of rebuilding? The truth is staring you in the face.........................

I hear you, but with a new coach comes HOPE, something we don't have right now. Whoever has the guts to let him go shows the fan base that we want to move forward. Just wish the big donors if there are any left would be vocal about this. The old saying is never more true. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. If there's enough pissing and moaning from all, the admins will get then message.

Just don't renew season tickets...that will send the message...if they decide to get rid of football because of that then UConn is being led by some piss poor morons.

Already heard from my brother in law who is a casual fan he said to me at our Thanksgiving dinner why would anyone want to renew season tickets. We don't have a walk up crowd to begin with on game day, just imagine next years walk up crowd, never mind season tix renewals. If we average 10k attendance per game next year that would be a miracle.

We can't have our recruiting philosophy to even be going after those kids. We need to convince the kids who dominate Northeast FCS to come here instead. I hear CCSU has a big time QB.

While I disagree with Freescooter on nearly everything, one area where I grudgingly agree (although not to the over the top level of FS) is that we (the fan base) overrate many local kids and overstate the importance of local recruiting. Yes it would benefit us to land the bulk of the capable in state kids as opposed to watching them go elsewhere to play. We need to balance this with the fact that we can't bring in many local kids and field a team with the talent level we want as there aren't enough comprise more than 12% - 15% of a quality roster at this level.

Really. I think it's time to drop football and move back to the Big East. There is not a plethora of nationally ranked FB recruits in the northeast like the south. If we get players from the south, they are maybe all district type players, not all state who go to the SEC, ACC and Big 10. FB is much harder to field a great team unlike hoops. UConn will never ever be a top team. Sorry it's reality.

This post is so stupid I can't even come up with the words to mock and ridicule you with.
