we shouldnt even be in the 'last 4', its kind of a joke. we're top 30 in bpi and kenpom, 45 rpi. 8-8 against top 70 kenpom, 10-10 against top 100. nothing even remotely close to a bad loss all year--you can hand pick any metric you want and cant give us a loss worse than #81

Makes no sense at all. Gotta figure the committee will consider our advanced metrics that that lil squid Lunardi refuses to.

If we don't win this tourney and get the automatic bid, we will get screwed, book it.

Lunardi just updated....he has us 3rd to last team in....still behind Vandy, Cincy, Oregon State who are all done. Those behind us on his board that are still playing are Michigan, Tulsa, Ohio St. & Bama so theoretically if we lose to Temple and 3 of them win we could be out. By the same token if Tulsa, Ohio State & Bama lose tonight we should be pretty locked in, albeit a play-in game....according to Joey.

I have UConn ahead of Vandy, Cincy & Oregon State so take that Joey!

Why debate? Kick their ass. Then QED.
On the off chance we don't kick their ass then we will be up for debate, not much to debate though...should be solidly in.

A neutral court loss to a top 60 (maybe top 50 team) won't hurt RPI much, but a win would push UConns RPI into the top 40 likely.

What would our RPI be if we replaced the CCSU game (#351) with somebody from 200-250? I can't figure it out, but I suspect we'd be much higher.

So are we now the biggest Michigan fans in the world? Them winning the Big10 tournament would be absolutely HUGE for us as we stomped them by 17 or so with little trouble, and they have the talent to win it all.

Unless they leapfrog us in the bubble pecking order.

I would have rather they lost today so there was no chance of that happening. That's more important than a few RPI points.

I think we maybe still need to beat Temple to get in, but without looking at the bracketology before, we'd need to see how the teams ahead of us did...

80% of brackets had us in at the start of the day:

http://www.bracketmatrix.com/

We'll almost certainly have leapfrogged the two teams in front of us (Vanderbilt, St. Mary's), and arguably a few others as well. Of the teams behind us, Michigan got a big win. But they have a worse resume than us and a head-to-head loss, so I don't think it means all that much.

One of the sweetest parts of today's win? It probably drives a nail into Syracuse's coffin. Should be just the third time in the last four decades that they've missed the tourney in back-to-back years.

Feeling good, Billy Ray.

Everything you guys are saying is reasonable but, REMEMBER, the NCAA is NOT reasonable. We are NOT a lock yet. If they beat Temple it would be almost impossible for them to keep us out. Besides, we probably go on to win the whole damn thing anyways. But, if they lose, and other games don't go our way, the NCAA could keep us out without it being an obvious screw job.

The only way UConn doesn't make it is if we beat Temple and lose to Tulane.
Literally that would be like getting roundhoused by Rod Sellers' elbow a thousand times right in the face.
