New York, November 3, 2022 – SNY, the official television home of UConn women’s basketball, today announced the network’s coverage for the 2022-2023 Huskies season. The 11-time National Champion Huskies will open the season on Thursday, November 10against regional opponent Northeastern live from Gampel Pavilion at 7:00 PM. This is the first of 18 exclusive live games on SNY. SNY’s UConn women’s basketball programming will once again be accompanied by SNY’s award-winning studio shows including pre, halftime and post-game shows.

Veteran play-by-play announcer Allen Bestwick returns for his third season with SNY as the television voice for UConn women’s basketball. Bestwick will be joined by game analyst and beloved former UConn Husky Meghan Culmo. SNY’s Maria Marino also returns as a live game reporter and will contribute to SNY’s studio programs.

The UConn Women’s Basketball Season Preview presented by Trantolo & Trantolo will air prior to the game on November 10th at 6:30 PM. Hosted by SNY’s Gary Apple, the Season Preview will feature exclusive interviews with Coach Geno Auriemma and key players. Apple will be joined by SNY analysts and former UConn standouts - 1997 Associated Press Player of the Year Kara Wolters and Culmo.

Apple and Wolters will again team up throughout the season for the UConn Women’s Basketball Pre-Game Show presented by Tri-State Cadillac Dealers, UConn Women’s Halftime Show presented by Dunkin and UConn Women’s Basketball Post-Game Showpresented by New England Honda Dealers.

The Geno Auriemma Show will close out the November 10 opening day on SNY, airing immediately following the post-game show. The 30-minute show gives fans an exclusive inside look at Coach Auriemma and his Huskies squad as they try to overcome key injuries with a group of impressive newcomers and returning talent, in their quest for their 12thnational title.

Throughout the season, all games and pre/post-game coverage on SNY will be accessible live via the SNY App. The SNY app is available for download on iOS, Android, tvIOS, Android TV, Apple TV, Fire TV and Roku.

There is no game today. There is an exhibition game vs Kutztown on Sunday, airing at 1pm on CW20 tv
 
As a famous person once said "you can please some of the people some of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time". The SNY and other game announcers have been discussed here many times and at time produced heated debates. For me I am just thankful I get to watch the games and any nuggets I get from them are a bonus.
