Matt Doherty, still screwing up in the 6th of his 7 year SMU contract. Some of the lowlights of SMU’s 47-28 loss to UAB:
- Since 1950, SMU has only scored less once, tallying 26 vs. TCU in 1956.
- SMU’s eight field goals set a C-USA record (11 previous).
- SMU’s 12 first-half points matched a C-USA record.

"SMU may have reached a breaking point under sixth-year coach Matt Doherty in a 47-28 loss Wednesday night at home to UAB that set all the wrong kind of records. The offensively emaciated defeat, in front of 1,582 at Moody Coliseum, was the Mustangs’ seventh straight Conference USA loss and only increased the scrutiny on Doherty. SMU (11-15) would have to win its final five games to finish the regular season with a winning record. Doherty has one in his previous five seasons."

One positive: "SMU is pouring $40 million into a renovation of Moody and will join the Big East, basketball royalty, in the 2013-14 season."

why doesn't smu just pay kids off the way smu did do things. not like they will get caught twice. all of the ncaa people are in ct, miami and ohio for the next couple years.
