If it makes yourself feel better go ahead and think that.

BTW the bench has played terrible in their minutes out there so much for those helpful minutes.
If it makes me feel better? Please. Try again. As for the bench playing terrible, clearly you aren't watching the game. Perhaps when it's ALL bench and walk ons they slow down, but individually, Stokes, Williams and Chong played well when they were in with the starters.

Courtney will not shoot! Passes it up for Tierney to stick it from the opposite corner.

Did it again - passes up 3 dribbles I into key, hands it off. Don't get it.

12 points and 13 boards for Williams in 18 minutes. Reminds me of Tamika Williams in her efficiency per minute... I"m sure some of our status gurus can come up with a better comparison, but that girl can PLAY!

Fewest in a half by opp. = 5. Fewest opp. Scoring for game = 20.

Thank you! SMU found their Mojo about 1 minute after my original post, but 9 points and 0-fer in the 2nd half with 8 to go had me wondering.

Rampola briskly headed back to her office to pen a petition calling for UConn to be thrown out of league. Geno just said that he didn't think the score is indicative of how good the Huskies are, but gave the team an opportunity to work on the little things that will make them better.

I love it that everybody contributed and no one had problems with turnovers, silly shot selection, defense, etc. Ek had some shots get away from her, but she played decently otherwise. Saniya looked much better. Better confidence and defense. This team (UConn) probably deserves to be ranked in the top 25.

I wish Kiah would start to dominate in the low post on the offensive end during mop up time. She should be and she's not even playing with the bench players. She'll be drafted, but maybe not until 2nd round unless her offense improves.

I would rather see John A not tweet during blowouts instead of ragging on the opponents or the AAC conference. Should be more professional as he's not a fan.

In his interviews, especially during AAC road games, he looks absolutely miserable.

I don't think he is sick. I think he is generally offended his great program has to play in this [mod edit] league due to reasons beyond his control. I think he is deeply offended by it quite frankly.
I have to agree with you. Embarrassing

The guards need to get her the ball first. She shoots it when she gets it in the paint.

I love Kara Wolters, but she needs to learn: UConn scores baskets. They do not "score the basketball." But then, SMU would have been thrilled to do either one.

This team is fun to watch. MoJett, Kia, Gabby, are so entertaining. They all are.

Just checking in . Where are the perpetual rainy day posters today? A game like this must be no fun for them. :p
I would like this 10x if I could, but...

Today you will find the posters who say SMU is pathetic, the AAC sucks, UCONN needs to get out of the conference ASAP, and games like this do zero for UCONN as a whole... Just can't win, can you?!

Against SMU, but still impressive the way she catches and attacks - sorta reminds me of another freshman - and her body control is exceptional. As has been observed above, these kids are fun to watch (Rebecca called them kids, so we can to right?)

Postgame presser: plain Geno is sick...cold?? BUT I have to say I am disappointed in his post game Mathew Mitch hair do ... too much dew! In talking about Stewie he indicated that she will get to the point where she can "make any play on the court." Now, that is an impressive statement coming from Geno. He did say he is not crazy about Stewie trying to get her momentum going early in the game from the 3 point line, though is he explained that I missed it.

I wondered if Mo, lauded as she was coming into college, could be the PG Jen Rizzotti or Sue Bird were. What I'm seeing now: it may be without the NPOY award, but I say yes- Mo will be every bit as great when all is said and done. She's a dream at her position, and basically almost nobody else can say that. She makes me drink the Kool-aid and like it.

That's a pretty good comparison, I'm thinking.

Why is anyone surprised that Geno might be sick? There are all kinds of infectious diseases going around now - including Legionnaire's Disease.
