5th round and still hasn't been picked, could he have used another year under Diaco, who was a former lb coach. Was it the combine and pro day numbers that made him fall this far. I hope he lands on a Super Bowl contending team so he can get coached up good and play with a huge chip on his shoulder.

His inability to perform in the combine and at pro day (due to injury) caused his stock to drop dramatically.

I communicated with a few draft people on twitter over the last week+ and they said that his 5.0 40 hurt him in the eyes of a lot of scouts.

Was listening to Sirius NFL radio last week and Pat Kirwan was raving about him. Still think he has a future in the NFL, doesn't matter how he gets on a roster (except, you know, to him in terms of value of his first contract).

Thought he had. Better soph year. Thought he should've stayed., but it's his life. Hope he gets picked.

Entering the draft early is always a risk but it appears that he was given some pretty poor draft counsel from somebody. When he declared, I thought he would surely be off the board by now.

Would love to see him on the Giants, a stretch, but hey Will Beatty got picked by them!

Really wish he came back considering he's fallen this far. Obviously would have benefitted. Still think he has a solid pro career. Hoping for the best for him. Would love my Cowboys to take him but they don't have another pick until the 7th round.

I thought he was better as a soph than Sio was as a senior. I am guessing that our lack of success in combination with the lame hammy is killing him.

Too bad for Yawin to drop this far really removes any margin for error.

Personally I lean towards productive college players and away from workouts if I were making picks and he was an extremely productive player.

Someone will be getting a steal. Hope it's the Packers. I think Smallwood can be an NFL starter and Stephen can be a nice rotational lineman.

Shocked at Smallwood 's drop.

I got skewered for making this call before he was about to announce. Said he should have stayed and improved his game because he has noticable weaknesses. Too bad because one more year would have changed his life.. He is very very good and could be excellent. Of course I didn't imagine he'd possibly not get drafted. Its a tough path to the NFL when you're not drafted.

Hopefully he'll go in a couple of picks from now to the Raiders and get to play alongside Sio Moore again. That would be at least a good ending to this sour draft...
