The name just rang out ND didn't it? I mean haven't they had like 5 guys in the last 15 years named Demetrius jackson at the guard position? LOL
 
Well if Illinois has XRM locked up then I assume they pulled the scholly offer for Jackson. Is that what the fans are saying?
 
no chance illinois would pull the schollie because they locked up XRM. Illini need a PG even if XRM commits to Illinois they will still be looking for a PG.
 
Illini fans were saying they were locking up both Jackson and XRM, the hell with whatever they say.

Sooooo...you're saying the Illini passed on the #5 PG in the country in order to get an excellent 2G that wants to play some point???
 
Whomever stated that the Illini passed on DJ because they have XRM locked up is seriously delusional. Not the case.

My spouse is a UI alum so I follow their goings on. Groce found out about the commitment when ESPN scooped themselves by posting a 'Jackson to Notre Dame' video four hours before Jackson's scheduled appearance on ESPN's recruiting show. The Illini seriously need a point guard and wanted DJ badly.

XRM is considered to be far less likely to go to Illinois than was Jackson.
