In otherwords you're a front runner. A 29-4 team isn't good enough for you. I liked your before game answer better...life is too short. I thought there was something drastically wrong with you. Now I find that you're just spoiled.
Sorry, I couldn't hear you from your high horse.

In 2009, I had one kid, and I wasn't divorced. It was (kind of) easy to let my wife look after our one kid while I went off to a game.

Now I have 50/50 custody and two young kids. I have no way to go.

Oh yeah, btw, I drop my kids off later today for a week with their mom. Will I be there Monday? Nope. Why? I'm dating a woman in Boston, and that's more interesting to me than watching a good but not historic team dismantle a mediocre Vanderbilt team. Again. Life is too short.

Old people don't remember how much fun it is to be single and dating, I imagine.

I enjoyed the UConn game regardless of the difference in talented players. The first game was hard fought and interesting. I got caught up with rooting for the underdog and "disagreeing" with the refs. For $15 I sat practically on the floor with the photographers and that meant for the second half the UConn players were that close to me also. Being that close to the action is an eye opening experience. I walked three quarters of a mile to Gampel from one of the free parking lots. Chatted with some Boneyarders (great to see you again Tom!). Very enjoyable experience and I am looking forward to the Bridgeport games and terrific seats Tony worked hard to get for the Boneyard group.

I can't believe ESPN 3 kept one WBB fan in the Hartford area from buying a ticket.

Gee, let's see. You can watch the least competitive game on the docket and drive to and from Storrs to do so. And pay for it. Or you could stay home and watch any game you wanted to, in part or in its entirety, for free.

No, I'm sure there isn't a soul in the Hartford area who made the latter decision. That's why the game sold out.

I was at the game yesterday. It was a nice game to watch, and I agree with a previous poster that commented on how active Idaho's band and cheerleader squad were. UConn's band / cheerleading squads really did seem like they were non-existent.

However, it has to be said that a large portion of the "no-shows" were the student sections, which were almost completely empty. I'm guessing that they don't come back from their break until today or tomorrow, so it is hard to really tell what the crowd may have looked like if they were there (although it still wouldn't have been a sell-out, obviously). It will be very interesting to see how the crowd looks against Vandy with the kids back on campus...

Texas Tech doesn't have the next two rounds only 90 miles way.
Texas Tech doesn't have ANY more rounds. They lost to South Florida on their home court. (But a lot of people got to see it!)

It will be interesting to see how well Bridgeport is attended.

I live on the shoreline and I am ecstatic that I can see a game without having to go through Hartford traffic. Then again, there's Bridgeport's traffic. Oh well!

Not the same in CT who expected to win by 50 and expects to be in Bridgeport.

I had an obligation yesterday, but when I saw the small crowd and went online today I picked up 3 tickets for Monday center courtcourt, lower bowl and I am thrilled. I stopped trying when it seemed that all I could ever get were bleacher seats...and my back simply can't handle that.
Our team deserves our support and I will be proud to provide that on Monday.

Well after paying for regular season tix, BE tourney, Bridgeport and final four tix, hotel, flights, etc, etc, etc, I didn't want to buy more tix for bad games...especially if they were bleacher seats.

I also went to the whole BE Tournament.Enjoyed the hell out of the bands...by the way Uconn was very good..even put on G town tees and played for them when their band could not be there. Good sports and very spirited.
Maybe the season ticket holders are burnt out .The rest of us should grab this opportunity to step and support our team.
I really don't get the marketing people only offering bleachers when today you could pick your seats. Why don't they do that all the time?

I also supported the team over thanksgiving by following them to St. Thomas...it was tough but somebody had to do it! :-/
