That inaugural record was probably UMass, they have the largest arena in the conference outside of XL. The league attendance record won't be touched, that's 38K+ for BU-BC at Fenway in 2010, but this is an awesome showing for the team, hopefully they all come back beyond just the BC game.

I just bought 3 tix yesterday for myself, the wife and my son. Section 123 row N. Clearly lower bowl still available to some degree.

So stupid. Why leave money on the table?

Not only that but why limit a new program's exposure to it's fans? This makes absolutely no sense. I'm hoping this is just their strategy to sell out what they've already opened in the upper bowl so they can open up even more to sell. And if this is true what happens to the folks who will assuredly be walk-ups? They're going to end up driving to the XLC and turned away even though their seats still available to be sold?

Thats a possibility, I suppose, but I doubt it. They wouldn't have said less than 1k left if they wanted to open up more of the arena. I haven't looked at the seats available latterly (bought my tix about a Month ago), but I think its a ploy to claim a sellout. Many nose bleed seats at the XL Center have terrible sight lines. Not Fenway Park or Tiger Stadium bad, but bad nontheless.

There's barely any seats left at the ticket sales site. Glad I grabbed mine in time.

Looks like they opened up 4 rows in the upper deck and one end appears to be open completely. Those people will probably move to the middle and fill in rows behind the first four once they see them open.

I know for a fact the lower bowl holds right around 6,200. It's capacity before renovations (fan bar) was 6,500.

Oh well, the Daily Campus writer got bad info then: "MIS major at UConn and Staff Writer for The Daily Campus covering @UConnMSOC & @UConnMHOC."

Yea it's no big deal really but 1,200 was just a little too far off for me not to correct. ;)

Student tickts to this game are free. Maybe that is where the missing number comes from. They were not "sold".

That would only account for around 400 total seats though. He'd still be short by about 800. It sounds like you're right though those don't count as sold so I'd say 5,800 sold in the lower bowl + the 400 student tix's and they're probably closing in on 500 sold in the balcony above sec. 120-123. So roughly 6,200 sold total + 400 students = 6,600. Hopefully we can get 8,000+ Wednesday.

I will be sitting across ice from you Husky25. See you there.
What happened to your Easley Avatar? Is he not long for Buffalo?

Only some random singles left on the ticket site....

wonder if they'll open another section to accomadate walk-ups

We are all expecting a great turnout, and why not? All evidence points to it, but how many BC supporters are going to be in the house? Boston is less than an hour and a half away.

UConn Twitter jus announced the game is a sell out. Looks like they really have capped the number of tickets.
