Simply incapable of winning tight games

I have a theory that no one will agree with. 6 players get most of the minutes, and in the last 6 minutes of the game the same players on the floor are out of gas. College players in this kind of shape should not be but when you are tired the shooting goes bye bye and you don't get back on defense. Maybe it's not the greatest theory but it's better than we don't have the will or are incapable of winning.

Stephens has guys like Isaiah Thomas (All Star) and Shelvin Mack running the show. That's the biggest difference.

You are also talking about one of the best young coaches in all of basketball right now, pro or college.
My point is regardless of who's playing point guard, and it's not like Shelvin Mack carried Butler by any means. Look at the in-bounds plays Stevens has drawn up late in games for the last 5 years, look at the effort level of his teams even when the game is seemingly over.
Perhaps Stevens is not a great example to compare to this team, because he's such a phenomenal coach. However, his Butler teams were no more talented, perhaps less talented than this UConn team. I'm just saying that what separates a team with talented guys from a good team is execution and level-headedness down the stretch. Stevens' even-keel emanated throughout the team. Ollie lacks that ability to know what's best situationally, and command control of his team down the stretch. If we don't have a leader on this team, then Ollie needs to be that leader.
