I believe the Lieberman Award is a point guard award. Loyd doesn't play that position for
Notre Dame. As long as Allen continues to improve, Loyd will be a shooting guard/ wing type.

Well, I don't think Odyssey was the point guard on that team either, Niya Johnson was. And Bria was on the watch list this year, and she's not our true PG. But I guess Loyd is more of a shooting guard. She seemed to have the ball in her hands a lot tonight.

I am glad that Odyssey won because I think she had a brilliant year, but ...
If this award is for the best point guard which is what it originally started out as and the reason it was named after Nancy, I would like to see more actual point guards on the list of nominees and fewer shooting guards - players that may only score in the low teens, but have great assist numbers, fewer turnovers, and perhaps more steals.
If it is for best guard - great. If it is for PG not so great.
