P also really drove home about HS Football in CT... emphasizing the level of competition and coaching is on par with any region of the country.

JarheadJim - great job, props to you and to the others who contributed. But you get the "What's good" award.

Weist was awesome. I kinda felt like a dick for screaming "YEAH!" when he got introduced after GDL, but whatever. He killed it.

Didn't GDL look like a miserable old man when he walked up to that podium?

I think he was the only member of the coaching staff that didn't offer any thank you's.What a grump.

Had a great time tonight. I agree, GDL was all business! I sat behind D. Bradley and his parents - they were very nice to chat with. Strangely enough, Weist sat right next to me during the program. I welcomed him to CT and held back all urges to ask any substantive questions about our offense.

See, if I had known you were a Boneyarder, I would have said hello... I was standing close by. :)

you remember how we had that thread about boneyard flags? we need a pin to wear in public. something subtle, but an identifier nonetheless.

Jarhead, you deserve 20 likes for the play by play. I'm a little too lazy to do it though. Thanks!

... and I was there and still think you did a nice job.

Seems like we should have worn our Hello Tags with our BY names on them. I was going to remind people yesterday morning but then the thought of Throat punches came to mind and I said screw it. Maybe next year

We missed the boat not having HFD there, blurting out that he is from the BY, asking PP where his f*ing blue tie is. Get that on video and watch it everyday.

At least we'd know who this crazy ass b***ard is. :D

i would not be allowed there, would have to take over to introduce the players for P.

They'd know it was you when you showed up with 5 blue ties, a pin, and a helmet, and tried to collar PP with a tie.

Could be a secret handshake like the masons or we could wear blue from head to toe including shoes and paint our skin blue like the blue man group and when HfD asks are you a Boneyarder we could smile and show that we dyed our teeth blue, and then get in a defensive position to block a throat punch.... aha you are a Boneyarder. Maybe wandering around with a Rolling Rock in hand would be better.
