Ridiculous. And excluding Sue Bird is even more ridiculous.. But I won't argue with #3.

Or #35.

Regarding Bird, I'd like to know how many athletes have won as many championships as Sue.

I think#35 is too low. But she has plenty of time to show them how wrong they are.

Regarding Sue's championships, I am pretty sure she has all the ballers on that list beat (except perhaps DT), especially Lieberman and Myers.

All these lists are bogus if they exclude Bonnie Blair from the top five.

Of the Basketball players, I would have to rate Lisa Leslie higher then some of the higher rated basketball players.

The qualifications included having attended college for at least one year and competed in that sport at the college level. That is why this is a Title IX list, unlike ESPN's list. Blair did not compete in college in speedskating, but she will likely make the ESPN list.

Does not make the list bogus, as you say. It is a completely different list with different criteria. SI's list is more narrow, because it is more Title IX focused. ESPN's list is broader and is being done (top 40) because of the timing (40 years of Title IX), but nothing else (has nothing to do with Title IX in the selection process).

No Lobo? Check DT's photo. She is scoring on an and 1 against Stacy Dales. It was a clear out late in the game to win it for us.

To be fair, it is always harder to judge an athlete in a team sport, especially on a team of superstars...and especially when one of Sue Bird's teammates is #3 on the list.

Wow- they managed to find the one extant unattractive/unflattering photo of Jennie Finch. Congrats, SI!
