SI article- Dan Hurley Had Funny Five-Word Response to Knicks Coaching Speculation

Well at least Pitino says he's not interested. Were the Knicks even interested in him?

"Absolutely not," Pitino said during a broadcast of Wednesday's game between the New York Yankees and the Cleveland Guardians.

"I think whoever comes in, if he doesn't get to the Finals, it's going to be deemed an unsuccessful season," Pitino continued. "So, whoever comes in has got so much pressure on them to take this team to the next level, 'cause that's why they're doing it, obviously, in their minds."

He’s right tough job to take because unless they add impact to the roster this team max’d out this year.

Hurley would be a great fit for the Knicks job. He would succeed there, but I don't think he's done at UConn. He can win a few more titles. He seems to be happy at UConn. I hope we have him for a little longer, but he can coach in the NBA

If he doesn't even take the Knicks job, what one would he take, Nets or nothing? Nothing?

Glad to have him, very loyal.

Hearing that Jason Kidd is emerging as a potential target as their next head coach
Makes sense in fact that Cuban sold mavericks. But, they have a title contending Team down there.

I'm not sure Hurley wants -that- job right now, any more than Pitino wants it, and for the same reasoning. The Knicks may very well be Hurley's dream NBA job, but not under these circumstances.

Couldn't even include the quote in the OP? Come on man.

"Not another summer of that" says Hurley.

I just think Hurley realizes the lifestyle. His basketball Xs and Os are good at the nba level. But personality.

Look at the finals. Carlisle in his like 3rd job. Daigneault was a cheap hire.

Thibs, Malone, Tyler Jenkins, Mike Brown are all out of a job. It is just a 4 year run as head coach
