UCLA is #2 in both preseason polls. That would be quite a fall to a 10 seed. What don't you like about them?

They are monumentally overrated. I wouldn't be surprised if they missed the field. They are living off of a three-week run, and the Pac-12 is not very good.

O.K. just saw your explanation in the other thread. We'll see, I guess.

How the hell does any person not working for a sports site have the time to do this?
Believe it or not, it only took me about 45 minutes.

HARD disagree.

90% of their scoring returned and they patched their biggest weakness (rim-protection) by picking up Myles Johnson.

Jaquez and Juzang are a unique/tough defensive assignment too. How to you prep for a team whose two best offensive players are 6’7 210+ wings?

It's fine to think they're a bit overrated. It's crazy to think they're the 40th best team.

I guess you blacked out that the P12 got 3 Elite 8 teams last year (and Oregon lost to USC in tourny also).

They also have a projected lottery pick in 2022 in freshman Peyton Watson. Granted you never know what a freshman will give you but when you bring back almost everyone and add a projected lottery pick I don't see how that doesn't help.

Rounding off the top seven prospects and what I'd say the last of the sure-fire lottery picks is UCLA's Peyton Watson. There's a big drop-off after him.

Watson could certainly see his stock climb this season. The 6-foot-8 wing is long, wiry and is an electric athlete. He has terrific ball skills for a wing and makes for an outstanding slasher in the half-court and in transition.

Watson is an impressive passer for a wing and coupled with his physical tools and his ball skills, I'd be intrigued to see him on the ball more this year. It would help his game.

UCLA does return its full starting five returning after an incredible Final Four run, so Watson has time to settle in and come into his own as a player and will see his role increasingly grow throughout the course of the season. He can help from the jump defensively at least.

So if UCLA is monumentally overrated is Villanova also? Obviously it's only 1 game but if you're right then that wasn't good for Villanova last night.

Based on the small sample size (one game..lol) I see us more as a 4 or 5 seed. Time will tell!

That’s what people said last year and then they got 5 teams into the sweeet sixteen… Pac is getting just as many if not more teams into the tourney than the BE this year…right now we only have 4 projected. Not great.

If nova isn’t the best team in the BE then we are and I’m not ready to say we’re beating UCLA on the road …
