Shaq's daughter | The Boneyard

Shaq's daughter

According to at least one post on the General forum portal entrants thread, LSU is rumored to be interested. I find that shocking (I am rolling my eyes 👀) and probably her most likely destination.

.-.
Her father, Shaquille O'Neal, is one of the two most famous BB players to ever play at LSU along with Pete Maravich. LSU's arena is named after Maravich.
But does her family still live nearby?

"The point guard for LSU when Shaquille O'Neal played there was Maurice "Mo" Williamson. He played during the 1989-90 season alongside O'Neal." (google search assistant)
In the summer of 1986, my wife, four kids and I moved to New Haven, CT for a short stay. We got to know a man across the street named John Williamson. Our kids played with his kids. One day John pulled up in a car with a friend and called to me, "Bahb, you wanna play some pickup?" I said yes, and followed them to the friend's house. He had a half court set up in his back yard with a glass backboard. We started playing 3x3. Mo (a sophmore in HS I think) was guarding me. He laid off because I was an older white guy. That afternoon I couldn't miss. "Super" John couldn't stop talking about it. Haven't made a shot since. later playing for Wilber Cross HS, Mo scored 78 against a team from Long Island.

Me’Arah O’Neal, 3rd daughter. Currently a sophomore at Univ. of Florida. Stands 6’4” and plays forward. Skilled perimeter player and averaged 13.6 pts & 6.4 boards per game. Unlike her dad, can make a free throw…😎
Yea thinking of her as a C is a mistake. She might be able to rebound and block a few shots like one, but her ability to play the 4 with Olivia or Jana at the 5 and even Sarah at the 3 would be her appeal to us. In other words more than just a pure backup 4, someone who probably gets 15-20 minutes a game.

At this point the number of difference maker 4 types are drying up. Considering that is Sarah's main position, it is understandable that this might be a hard sell to potential players. I think O'Neal, Brown and Carlton would crack the rotation and get significant minutes, but I am unaware of any mutual interest there. We might have to settle for looking for a couple of tiers down for mostly injury insurance at that position, which we should still pursue IMO if that is the best we can do this year.

When she entered the portal and it was posted in the General Board I was intrigued as well. However, I’m not sure how relaxed the body tattoo rule has gotten at UConn. I know that little ones have been permitted as Ashlynn and Allie have championship dates on their arms.

Ayanna wore a sleeve to cover up her arm tattoo.

Not sure if many old fashion 5's exist (stays primarily under basket, doesn't shoot 3's, etc.). Having a shot blocker who plays defense and can come out and score from outside as well as excel at pick and rolls is today's game.

Brink, Boston, Cardosa, Betts and even inexperienced Okot ( though the latter can shoot the three) have worked out well over this decade of the 20s

But yeah. They are kinda’ hard to find.
