My thing is does he need that? Is he not nba ready already with his handle, decision making, and shot-making ability? He's 22 years old so I don't think much more progression is needed. I'd rather see him come in and be on the all rookie first team in a starting role.

I'm not sure why you think Bazz would start right off the bat over Beverly or even Lin for that matter, Beverly is one of the best defensive PGs in the game, there's a reason why he overtook JLin for the starting spot despite Lin getting paid a ton. Bazz may be older but he's gotten better every single year, I expect him to still have room to grow in the NBA once he reaches that level and learns to adjust, he's not maxed out as a player yet talent wise.

If napier goes to HOU he could easily clash with D12, Parsons, AND Harden. Those three would embarrassingly throw Lin under the bus throughout the season, Napedog wouldn't take that . Then Mchale would have no issue throwing him in a doghouse. Him getting to Lebron ,Doc Rivers , or Thibs should be the goal.'

EDIT; Also Napier in that Globe piece i think said he patterned his game after prime Steve Nash. Hit that nail on the head. I can really see it, which makes me think he might get drafted too early for Miami or LAC to get him.

Lin is a TO machine and still plays soft. Beverly, while he might be a great defensive PG, does not have too much offensive game. The PG position is all about being a great decision maker and setting your teammates up for success. Shabazz would definitely step in and do that better than both Bev and Lin who truly lack those abilities. They were throw under the bus for those reasons. They'd play soft or not up to par with everyone else. PG was the weak spot on that Houston team. Adding a championship winning PG who doesn't get rattled can play some good defense and be the lead guard to set their players up like Lin and Bev couldn't would be much better for the team. Yes Bazz still has room to grow but he's ready now like most upperclassmen are when they come out of college.

I don't see how the players would clash if he's distributing to them. Shabazz isn't the selfish type and knows how to be just a distributer to take only good shots at a high rate. I'd rather see him run the show in Houston and take them over the hump in the playoffs at some point (since Harden is a constant disappearing act) than be one of the spot up boys for Lebron as he piggybacks him to a championship. The Heat desperately need a center anyways. They'd be crazy not to draft Mitch McGary if he's available.

I don't see why Harden wouldn't stand someone who can make the game easier for him and help him not have to create all his shots by himself.. They can definitely both play off each other being shooters. James has said himself that he is still getting used to being the main option and leader so why would he have a problem with someone coming in and making it easier for him?
