Confirmed, UConn has no chance with Battle.
Fine with me as long as we land Diallo.

Cry for me Cuse fans, CRY. Let me bottle and drink your tears.
That article is a year old. Things changeHard to imagine him passing up Duke after reading this.

That said, in a recent cuse rivals article he made it seem like being close to home was important.
Also, looks like he grew a couple inches. 6' 6" maybe 6'7".

It's not too soon to post it on the 'Cuse board.Would it be fitting to say we lost the Battle?Too soon?
Exaggerating?Things haven't changed enough.
Take the teams currently involved with Battle and you can rank them in whatever order you'd like as long as UConn is last.
There's no way we're ahead of Syracuse.

Probably right but do these Team USA All Americans want to be associated with that mess right now?Things haven't changed enough.

If UConn can get him in for a visit than there is a chance. Maybe KO blows him away. The fact he visited Cuse and hasn't committed says we at least have a punchers chance. Some will care, some won't.
They've seen the stories, but it's not an abstract - a kid like Battle has known the SU staff for years and probably looks at the 'mess' as something other than a mess.
I don't know if he'll go there, but they're certainly closer to yes than UConn has been.

Might be his most accurate /concise report ever! Wait, should this be taken with a grain of salt?
That said, my opinion remains. If K really wants him. He gets him. Something spurred his change of heart. Hopefully, it's his desire to play on a modern positionless basketball team!

What are you hearing as far as baggage is concerned, eligibility issues or just general troublesWow did you sneak a beer from the grown-ups table last night. I was simple pointing out that article is a year old. If duke is still calling then he will jump all over it. All I am saying is that I heard duke is not banging on the door for him. The rumor is battle comes with a ton of baggage.

Fishy your discrete posts make life worth living. If they can get him on campus, we definitely have a puncher's chance...but not looking great there.
And we might not be in the market for a scoring guard too much longer....

Just curious, who would you prefer, Battle or a 2016 reclassified Diallo? Which one is better? Which is a better UConn fit?
Battle sounds like the better deep shooter, while Diallo the better athlete.
Who has the makings of being the better all around player? Things such as BBIQ, defender, rebounder, handle, midrange, scorer off the bounce, etc.
One on hand, you know Battle will arrive next fall, since he's clearly 2016. On the other hand, his family might need to be constantly handled and be a distraction.
As for Diallo, if he stays in 2017, a lot can happen if he verbals between that moment and next fall, which is how long he'd have to wait to sign his 2017 LOI. If he does reclassify, I think I'd prefer him over Battle who seems more shooter than scorer, though that does fill a nice need. It's always nice to have a deadly Shad type scorer that our attack guards can kick it out to.
Battle is a better player right now, but has the look and feel of a one-and-done thanks to his size, skillset and age.Just curious, who would you prefer, Battle or a 2016 reclassified Diallo? Which one is better? Which is a better UConn fit?
There's no wrong answer between the two, though. Both are 5-star talents who'd be huge pulls for any program.
Diallo '16 and I think it happens soon.Just curious, who would you prefer, Battle or a 2016 reclassified Diallo? Which one is better? Which is a better UConn fit?

.Battle seems to be one and done. Diallo is a better long term fit, whenever you see a kid commit, then decommit a month later it's a red flag, I've read that he's a fuse silent verbal, dook has not been actively pursuing him, I think that's where he wants to go.
Whatever the situation, I think KO is not playing games with his camp, if he wants to go to Uconn there will be a spot, if not we have other options, Battle seems to not have his priorities straight.
Was there a red flag with Boat? Just because a kid decommits that doesn't necessarily mean it's a red flag. He's probably a long shot to come here, but I'd take him in a heartbeat.
