That 2 good players stepped up and had career games. Also Marquette and Chreighton aren't that good this year.

And they would have if the officials did their job properly. Do you think Dan Hurley should have practice sessions on how to handle poorly officiated games, on top of how not to sleep walk?
 
Teams are allowed to have bad games (which it certainly was) and do enough to still win. That’s exactly what we did, but it was stolen away from us. You people just watched the officials take a win and hand it to Seton Hall.

Not as currently constituted. But in general, yes, I do. Looks like we tend to lose as heavy favorites. Looks like we play well as heavy underdogs. What do you think we will be in the tourney?

His teams have had trouble inbounding the ball for years. How any times had Karaban had to call time out trying to inbounds the ball this year. It has to approaching a dozen.

How many other teams in the whole NCAA cannot inbounds the ball without turning it over? If they ca do it why can't we?

Hurley doesn't escape responsibility for this. He has to fix it. But it may have cost him a tourney bid because he let it go so long.

No -hit. Any reasonably knowledgeable basketball fan could agree. High school coaches do better.

Yeah this one will really hurt us this year even if we make the Tourney. We are looking at a 9 seed at best with the way we play.

I know it's not real, but does Hurley just not want to beat his alma mater at home? Those were two terrible last minutes in a row.

Love the two 3s from Karaban, going to try and focus on that.

And we play better against good teams and struggle with sucky teams. That's a coach not motivating his players. That and poor coaching at end of game.

You take yourrrr timeeeeeee because with more than one minute left the clock CONTINUES TO RUN.

It’s the smartest move you can possibly make. Yes, you have to inbound the ball successfully, but that is an insanely high BBIQ decision Alex always makes.
 
I really hope this is rock bottom for this season and we can bounce back. And not a dead cat bounce.
 
Need something to look forward to. How much better are we next year with the burger boys? Or is it more pain? Thank you as I’m on sam Adams number 4

100%. It's a proven time stalling tactic that has worked wonders for us in the past (especially at the end of 1st halves, when the clock doesn't stop after made baskets), but you gotta know when to employ it and when not to.

We need a lot more than the incoming freshman if we want to get back to contending for the Big East title and making noise in the tournament

I don’t completely disagree. I more so just trying to plug holes instead of engaging in a complete roster overhaul. We have 3 MCDAA coming in next season, Ball will be back, I’d expect Stewart and Ross back, as well as Ahmad and Abraham. How do we build around that group? I think by adding size and physicality at the guard and wing spots. I think a successful off season would start with adding a big stud at the guard spot. And just hope and pray that Reed, Ball, Stewart, Ross, Ahmad and Abraham get. better

I'm sure they spend lots of time on it. But this team is not very athletic and have a hard time getting open. Karaban was like a deer steering into the headlights on a couple those inbounds. The last one Diarra was open on his left side cut. And when they over-play them going long is a good option but sending one of your non-athletic guys down court to be a wide receiver isn't smart.
 
Solo Ball was mugged on the inbounds play. They were literally trying to foul him, but the refs wouldn’t oblige. I know it shouldn’t have come down to that blah blah blah, but this is showbiz. It’s WWF level at this point from BE refs.
