Why?Don’t ever let someone tell you that this years team is better than lasts.

Comparing him to those guys has always been outrageous.Time? He's been it all season. Did you read the threads from last week of some in the media saying he was a 1st or 2nd team All American so far this season? Can we really expect him to be like Kemba this season? We have to be realistic.
I think it might be time to go to bed. Seeing some of the takes tonight is just frustrating.
This one was not closeDan again refuses to win a close game
The effort they displayed was top tier thoughWasn’t even SH’s A+ game. We just played a D- game across the board
More shocked by the horrible passing. I think this is the best passing team we've had and the passing was awful. Soft passes that barely got there when Hall was playing up on us, balls at guys feet, not making the extra pass, we basically kicked the ball all over the court tonight. Just a really strange performance.I guess you are not shocked with our defense because it was the exact same thing as last year?? Just let them drive to the basket at will and do nothing about it??

It's not a curse. It's the price to be paid for UConn snatching AJax away from Syracuse. It broke Boeheim's spirit. The Curse of Khadary Richmond strikes again.
It actually shows how damn tough the league is but you can call it whatever you like. The Big East cakes its pants with Marquette, Creighton and UConn going down in their first Big East games.
Villanova is the most schizophrenic team.Well Creighton fans will feel worse than us tonight. They blew a 14 pt lead at home to Nova who didn't have Justin Moore. Dixon was a straight up cold blooded with the go ahead 3 in OT-he had 32 pts
I only saw the last 10 minutes, and he was torched multiple times. No offside help, but it probably would have backfired.8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 9 pts. Respectable.
Yep. Gotta go down with the ship. Full support in all weather. Makes the big wins and championships sweeter. This is excruciatingly lame.
I think "they wanted it more" is usually pretty cliche but tonight the hall just brought it. Even Hurley agrees.
Between Karaban, Spencer and Ball not playing well. I still stand by my take that there is some room to get Stewart in the game to see what he can provide in games like this..He’s a tremendous role player. Expecting more is setting yourself up for disappointment against better talents. He’s not a takeover the game by creating for himself type. Which is okay because he does what he does very well.
He has a strange shooting form and while it’s very solid and it works most the time it’s going to be inconsistent. He misses long very oftenHave to wonder if Alex’s hand is still bothering him? We know he’s a better shooter than he’s shown so far this year. The only disappointing thing with him, is it seems like hasn’t taken a leap in self creation like we were hoping for. Maybe as an upperclassman we’ll get more in that area?
Feels worse than any of the losses last year
When I read a comment like his, I now smile about him having a daughter who puts him in his place. It actually shows how damn tough the league is but you can call it whatever you like.
That game wasn't close.Dan again refuses to win a close game
It's a fact of life in athletics. It's rare to have a team with no letdowns.I'm also sick of the "they wanted it more!" or "they had more toughness!" crap.
Every player on the floor was tough. Every player on the floor wanted to win. We just didn't play the right way TO win. That was a failure of preparation by the staff and players alike.
Onto the next one. The Big East isn't supposed to be easy.
Our 5 bench players are averaging 21.7 points per game this seasonAverage 15 - 20 points from the bench will be easy…bahahahhahahaha
in the tourney last year, when we played arkansas, we made the defensive help adjustment that we needed last night. But throughout big east play last year alot of our bad losses could be chalked up to a lack of defensive help and/or our gameplan to attack defensively 40 feet from hoop , even teams that can't shoot. We then get stuck in ISOs (think maryland tourney loss a few yrs back) and give up easy hoops without the walling off of help defense in the paint.I guess you are not shocked with our defense because it was the exact same thing as last year?? Just let them drive to the basket at will and do nothing about it??
I agree, but there’s no way Hurley is going to go with a freshman to try and get him back into a game. That’s just not his philosophy.Between Karaban, Spencer and Ball not playing well. I still stand by my take that there is some room to get Stewart in the game to see what he can provide in games like this..
When two of those guys are playing well maybe not, but this game and the Kansas game..maybe Stewart can at least give us a punch on offense or a slightly quicker step on D for a few minutes
Perhaps a switch to two or three zones might have helped. When Clingan went out so did out defense. We went small and were bullied for it. Serious adjustments were needed.I guess you are not shocked with our defense because it was the exact same thing as last year?? Just let them drive to the basket at will and do nothing about it??
