St Johns at Seton Hall tonight. There is even a stage behind one basket with folding chairs on it. Exactly like the gym at St Joe's in Enfield. I heard the announcer say the place seated 1,200. Which is much larger than the St Joe's gymnasium. But they are on a balcony or something so they don't show up on TV.

Anyone have any idea why they are playing wherever that is? It's really weird. Should still be on for another hour or so. Check it out.

Looks like it’s in a ballroom or a practice facility or something

ESPN says it’s in the prudential center but that can’t be true. Odd indeed

I've seen the women play there. I guess it's their on-campus facility. Is tonight's game a make-up game?

It's in Walsh, their classic old gym. When it was built it was one of the biggest and best arenas in the East, a lot of history in that old gym.

St Johns is gonna kinda screw the BE. No good wins but not a bad team and can beat anyone on a good night… but a bad loss for everyone else.

No Aiken tonight. Concussion. Still...
Yeah against St. John's this is less than ideal.

But they're just not getting back on D at all. Doesn't help that they're shooting 29% despite a lot of open looks, leading to a ton of Johnnies open looks.

Somehow St. John's has played 6 Q1 games and 0 Q2 ones. This is another Q1 game. They're definitely going to win some home games against decent teams upcoming.

It’s in Walsh because it’s a rescheduled game and the Prudential Center is booked by a South Korean boy band.

Wow so much for home theatre advantage. My wife thought it was BTS when I mentioned your post JSB60 but the Prudential has Ateez tonight. In the early Big East days we would play Seton Hall and BC in the Fieldhouse. Saw Dan Callandrillo there as well as John Bagley and Jay Murphy. I think we also played Pitt there a couple games.

The first couple of years in the BE the Hall played there all the time, it had an elaborate parquet floor I remember. Georgetown also played on campus sometimes in its little gym.

I’ve been there to watch one of their women’s games. It’s actually a great place to see a game. A classic bandbox where you’re right on top of the action. over the summer they just renovated it and put up a big new scoreboard. It’s kind of a neat place. I think it’s seats either 1200 or 1300 people. That’s less than a third of what the old Field House sat.

Bad loss for Hall. They've got to find 7-8 more wins to get in the tournament. This is one you needed. They went from a top 25 team to a bubble team in two weeks.

The last BIG EAST contest inside Walsh Gym was an 85-80 win over Connecticut on March 2, 1985.

We’ve always been better imo. Kadary masked that for one night. Cole fouling out and us coming off of a 17 day lay off played a part too

I guess the South Mountain Arena was booked as well. (Seton Hall once played there in the early 1980s before going all-in on the Meadowlands.)

Big East people thinking that playing in 50% full off campus NBA arenas is cool is a disease smh
