"I know it's easy to second guess but boy do I find myself questioning a lot of Penders decisions."

I'm sure it's the coaching staff's dream to have an active baseball message board. Well, they've got it, and all the little bonuses that come with it.

Words can't describe how bad Verdi has been. Oh my lord.

my baseball resume may look better for applying for a d3 grad asst role on a college baseball team, but boy do i want a freaking shot at coaching this team lol. it just pains me seeing this little league stuff go on right now.

it was stopped for darkness.

there going to play the 9th at 1pm 2moro i think i read.

Pretty sure they're playing the 9th inning tomorrow at 1pm and playing the 3rd game of the series afterwards.

For those who haven't seen yet, weather has pushed the games back to Sunday. 9th inning being played at "11am, Sunday afternoon" according to the athletics site. If UConn fails to pull off a miracle in that one inning, we can assume it will end around 11:20 with the 3rd game starting at 11:50 or so.

.-.
Even though I am hoping we come back in the first game i realize that is not an easy task and not counting on it. That makes the second game extremely important. I hate to say this early in the season this is a must win game, but we can not afford to lose series at home if we expect to have a chance at the NCAA tourney. With that said I feel confident we pull out a victory.

uconn up 5-1 here bot 7 in the 3rd game. marzi pitching well.
testani hit a 3run shot for his first career blast.

any one know how the last inning of game 2 went?

Marzi is being substituted for Dan Feehan, pitching wise.

Martin flew out to start the inning. David singled. Fuller grounded into a fielder's choice. Testani grounded out.

This is the first time I've seen Marzi pitch and I came away impressed. Not overpowering stuff but excellent command of all his pitches.

Testani and Pavone crushed their homeruns over the trees in left field.

Good weekend I will admit, still waiting for results on Game 2 though.

but 2 very nice wins, as payback for what Seton Hall did to us last year.

Next up is a roadtrip to Massachusetts to play UMass and the Beagles of Boston College (University?)

.-.
Quality series win. Ward has struggled a bit recently, though.
I don't think he's 100%. During his start, all the scouts had him sitting at 84-85 on the gun and I overheard them saying he normally is 87-88. He had to miss his last start due to shoulder soreness. I hope he can build his arm strength up and get back to 100% soon.
