Seton Hall Game moved from Sunday to Saturday (merged)

Yeah, that should give them time to get back home Saturday evening/night. But the post game interviews might be very short or none existent.

.-.
Actually the storm doesn’t arrive till Sunday morning in Jersey so I expect a very long and robust post game interview.
But you're dealing with schools who will be cautious. Also Geno and kids who mostly would prefer to get home than talk to reporters. Georgetown coaches/players aren't gonna want to talk after getting pummeled.

Good excuse to make it short.

Saturday at Noon at Seton Hall. Moved from Sunday it appears. Due to the impending snowstorm hitting the northeast sunday/monday.
Sorry, didn't see this thread when I added the notice from Connolly

This begs the question, how do you get to Storrs from S. Orange NJ? I would drive, it doesn't make much sense to fly from Newark to Bradley. Busing would probably be quicker. Does anyone know UConn's travel plans?

I think it takes a bit less than two and a half hours by bus......that's how they've gotten there in the past.......Peter Pan buses if my memory is correct.... 😉

Based on my experience, that would be very good time. Of course at 10:30+ at night, no traffic problems.

I'm assuming they are taking a bus back to Storrs, couldn't you just do post game interviews on the team bus with today's technology. I know Hurley does interviews on the bus ride back to games.

IMO, I hope that they hire a bus or take Amtrak on Saturday to the NY area and spend the night there instead of adding 5 to 6 hours to their travel time by first going to Storrs and then South Orange for Saturday's game.

I had assumed they would go directly from Georgetown to South Orange after tonight's game.

Would you be able to hear anything anyway? Or, just the standard ...

Since 2021, Dattco Transportation in New Britain is the exclusive & official busline of UConn athletics providing transportation for both basketball teams. I've seen their dressed up bus around town when it returns from trips.

That makes sense. And they could explore all the great tourist spots in central NJ. Maybe get a pizza. So long as they get outa there before the storm.

My guess is they drive from Washington to circa Seton Hall on Friday and stay overnight maybe in Montclair. Practice at Walsh on Friday, then play on Saturday and go home.

You mean North Jersey not Central. BTW, I would put our pizza up against anyone's. I hope the team gets food from Montclair on Friday night. I will be there having dinner so if I see them I will report back.

Just got off the phone with Seton Hall ticket office a few minutes ago and they told me that exact thing......super happy because I was not looking forward to that drive through the snow on Sunday!
Love it because now my 4 year old granddaughter can go. It's her 3rd straight game at Walsh. I know, I know, I started the kid late.😁
