Wnba with all due respect just kills momentum for their sport. So let's have Game 2 be on Wed and then not play till Sunday? Again I already know the answer, is arena availability/tv deal but that just tells you what networks and arenas think of the sport. Will always come 2nd. Last season for god sakes we had the Mercury moved because of Disney on Ice.

Yeah, I was just looking for the score of today’s first game. Oops!

By tomorrow, I probably won’t remember who’s playing.

Does anyone know what AD Durr had surgery for?
She went down with a hip injury awhile back. I don’t think they specified anything besides hip.

I hear ya, but there's no way ESPN was gonna find a slot for the game today with it being opening weekend of college football.

yes because Michigan vs Colorado st was such a competitive game!
Not the point. ESPN lives for cfb. WNBA is barely an afterthought.

Will be interesting to hear BYers thoughts.

As a UCONN fan, couldn’t go wrong with either one

The top 2 were as everyone expected, and either would've been worthy of winning. I'm pleased that Plum finished 3rd. While well behind the top 2, she was also well ahead of 4th.

Not sure how this will be perceived. I can understand she's frustrated with how she played.
I had my reservations about Seattle acquiring her. In the end it was a gamble that didn't pay off, but cost Magbegor half a season of development. Not worth it.

How many potential contenders will see her as the missing piece to put them over the top?

No idea. This "contract divorce" situation has been perplexing to me since it happened.

Joining Wilson and Stewart (280 points each) on the 2022 All-WNBA First Team are Aces guard Kelsey Plum (265), Phoenix Mercury guard Skylar Diggins-Smith (183) and Chicago Sky center-forward Candace Parker (183).

This is the 10th All-WNBA Team selection for Parker and the sixth for Diggins-Smith. Parker was voted to the First Team for the seventh time and Diggins-Smith for the fourth time. For Plum, this is her first selection to the All-WNBA Team.

The 2022 All-WNBA Second Team consists of Connecticut Sun forward Alyssa Thomas (175 points), New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu (168), Los Angeles Sparks forward Nneka Ogwumike (141), Sun forward Jonquel Jones (126) and Minnesota Lynx center Sylvia Fowles (65).

First time WNBA didn't require positions for either team, which you see really playing out on second team with just one guard (Sabrina).

Seems like there was pretty big consensus on top 9; huge gap to get to Fowles, and wonder who came in 11th (Arike?); but can't argue with any picks.
