The people that thought we would be a 3 really haven’t paid attention to how the committee works, and what went on in the past two weeks in college basketball.

Oh, and further proof that the conference tournaments don’t really change seeding.

For Purdue it made the difference

You could argue that Purdue and Gonzaga are the weakest 2 and 3 seeds.

Purdue was definitely helped by winning the BIG ten conference.

I will be worried any game we play, but I agree the breakdown of possible matchups don’t worry me as much as they could. Louisville is primed to get picked off early.

I think the only valid complaint/worry is having St John's in our region. But if we end up facing them a 4th time I still think it's better than the alternative opponents like Duke

The Committee does a terrible job as usual. Imbalanced regions, teams snubbed, obvious Power Conference bias, etc.

I think it's more likely we get Kansas for a 2nd time than St. John's for a 4th if we get to the Elite 8.

Not necessarily. Only the 5th ranked team is prevented from playing the 1st ranked. But 6 can play 1.

I know nothing about Furman this season but looking at their stats they are led by a 6'5 guard who averages around 18 ppg and around 5 assists per game. Two skinny 6'11 guys and a skinny 6'8 guy seem to be their three other best players. They're 8th in the country in 2 point fg% and 260th in three point fg% on high volume.

Last time saw 2006 UConn vs Kentucky in Philly for 2nd round. We didn't have too many fans

It's a pretty favorable draw overall. Now we just need to show up.

Is St. John's really going to beat Duke? I think St. John's stinks when they play against a team that is formidable and can shoot and penetrate at all.

If St John’s plays Duke (and the refs), St John’s may foul out their starting lineup by halftime.
