I agree wholeheartedly; it did seem that he scored more than 19 points. I guess it was just that the Boatshow's play led the team to scoring more then 19 pts (in a half). Hopefully that will carry over to the rest of the season. All I can say for sure is that this game was 1,000,000x more enjoyable than the Georgetown game, and I'll certainly take that.
ESPN had him at 4, but they were because of his aggressive nature. I feel more comfortable with the ball in his hands and I think his energy is contagious. I like how he picks his spots when shooting and usually gets a good look within 15 feet.
I think that the announcer made a great observation today when he said that UConn unintentionally runs down the shot clock on almost every possession. That's generally not the case when Boatright is in the game; he's definitely trying to force the issue.
As I've said, I want the ball in Boatright's hands 90% of the time. Shabazz and Lamb can handle the ball also, but I feel Boatright is better at getting into the teeth of the defense and hitting his teammates in the right spot.
The turnovers were not of the aggressive nature at all they were of the passive passing nature.....having said that he has big balls and makes plays, love the kid. But those ill advised passes from him and bazz need to be gone come Monday when every possession is key...
