I confess to being a little uneasy about the way so many fans are buying into
the "Vandy did it" business on the basis of a tweet from JA about his sources.

Kind of reminds me a bit about the way Tennessee fans bought into the
"Geno cheats" nonsense because Pat said it was so.

Well, the Courant was comfortable enough to run it as an article in print.

Completely different. JohnA is not a participant, he is a journalist. And he's not going to write something just bc a random person says so. There are journalistic rules about sources, credibility, etc.

Geno's reaction:

“I have a hard time believing that’s who it was,” Auriemma said. “If it was, I don’t care one way or the other. We’ve got a lot of friends over there. Maybe they did, maybe they didn’t.”

Auriemma then joked, “Is (Davis) still playing? She’s doing Chevrolet commercials.”

So they're saying they did it. Great. Let's pile it on tonight. Guess that explains the Vandy coach's attitude towards UConn.

Can you post her comments re Uconn
Thanks

Coach Bascomb can deny the allegation...surely it's come to her attention by now...

After her team beat Minnesota by 17 in Friday night’s Gulf Coast Showcase matchup to set up a Saturday night matchup against No. 3 UConn, Vanderbilt coach Melanie Balcomb was asked what she thought of the Huskies.

“I don’t think about them,” Balcomb said.

You can’t really blame Balcomb, whose team is 5-0, for not wanting to think about UConn. The Huskies thumped Vanderbilt, 77-44, in an NCAA second-rounder to end the Commodores’ 2012-13 season.

“As usual, that was on their court,” said Balcomb with an eye roll

For a southern coach, Melanie seems to lack some graciousness and manners. Interesting our hard-nosed Philly guy is more polite than she is. And she'd best START thinking about the Huskies. Game at 8:30 PM, right?
Melanie is from Jersey.

Edit: Oops, I just noticed someone else already said that. Southern graciousness is just an act, anyway. People are the same deep down everywhere.

Bascomb, Balcomb...a rose by any other name...
I disagree, there's a big difference! One is revered by UConn fans, the other - not so much.

So if the SEC invited UCONN to join... would you still dislike them ?
Yes, but I'd graciously accept the invitation, of course.
