I'll post this here instead of in the dedicated SC thread, don't want to lose my privileges over there

I watched and couldn't help but be happy for Ky, Elzy, and Howard. They all took their lumps this season and deservedly so, but turned it up when they needed and pulled out some impressive wins over top flight competition. Kudos to them.

Crazy! Just a month ago, folks were questioning Howard and her level of effort. Same with Coach Elzy. Folks wrote her off. Said she was overrated as a coach. In over her head. Oh, my favorite, "Lost the team". Ready to put her on the good old coaching "hot seat" Now? Hmm. Folks are singing a different tune. Congrats, Coach Elzy and the Kentucky WBB program. Huge win and what a shocker.

Best part of the KY win for me was

Dre'una Edwards...not her shot, but

the emotional interview afterward...

Those tears were more than about basketball. I have a feeling she learned a lot about herself yesterday. I think she grew up. She was benched earlier in the game because...well, she plays with her heart on her sleeve and was distracted by a call. She regrouped...and finished what she started. Good for her.

Massengill looked more confident as well.

Congrats to UK.

It's hard not to like a team that gets on a roll like they have.
