SEC 25-26

Based on how Kentucky is playing, it seems like Key is sorely missed. Saw another post on Twitter quoting Coach Brooks talking about not having a deep bench. Definitely something to monitor while she's out.

One could say she was the key to their success...

So who is the 4th best team in this Conference?

Coach Yo seems super needy.

That comment was for herself, I think.

The coaches in this league are some characters.
They are something alright 😒

Another one ... that is, another mid-season addition:

Got one Frenchie in Columbia, another one landed in Starkville. Who the heck is advising these French kids?

Don’t know about aGuillet but thee advisor for Tournabize is her Mom. Former NCAA and wnba player.

They should go to one of those ambitious Try Hards that can't beat anybody nonconference but rules their mid-major league, like Montana State or Duke.

Waiting on Vic to join Kim in bitching about the SEC tournament being in Greenville (almost) every year. Honestly, I don’t blame them much. However, Greenville treats the players very, very well and is located close to the middle of the two largest attendance fanbases.

I wouldn’t mind seeing the tournament alternate between Greenville and a Western city like Dallas or Oklahoma City - though the NBA teams’ March seasons there could mess with wbb popularity in those locations.

And also treats the fans very well. I was there for the Regionals in 2023 and was very impressed by how the city embraced the invasion of WBB fans. The venue was great, inexpensive parking within short walking distance, lots of eateries and watering holes all around, plenty of hotels and AirBnBs, excellent crowd control/support, superb food. I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Greenville is the perfect layout and size for WBB regionals and SEC tourney. Both could get lost or ignored in a bigger city. Greenville is small enough to make it a big deal for the whole city, while big enough that there are sufficient hotels and dining within walking distance of the city.

Kenny is REALLY missing Teoni Key. Since her injury, they are 2-4 after starting 15-1 with her in the starting line up

I thought I would pass along that after discussions between the two universities and the SEC that the Vandy at South Carolina game is still scheduled to be played on ESPN at 3 pm tomorrow. There is still potential for postponing the game if the weather conditions are worse than expected.

I have no idea how they will reschedule this game as Tennessee is fully booked with games until 3/1 but it will most definitely have to get rescheduled as it will have ramifications on the seeding for the SECT

ESPN has it being postponed to today but I haven't seen an article stating as much or giving more details (game time, etc )

Anyone know what's up with Clara Strack? She's normally a great player but her last three games she's shot:
3-13 vs Georgia
2-7 vs Tennessee
3-16 vs Mississippi State

Plus a 1-13 game vs Alabama a couple weeks ago.

Just bizarre numbers for one of the better offensive posts in the country.

Been wondering the same thing. It also seems to coincide with when Key suffered her injury. Very perplexing.

I think Key's injury is part of it but I personally am not a fan of how Kentucky coaches their bigs. They're too finesse and when they are met with physical defense, their strategy tends to fold, leading to too many fadeaway jumpers. I haven't watched any of the above games but I feel like that has been a trend with their bigs every since I started paying attention at VA Tech with Kitley.

Crump being back is a game changer for Texas. Gives them upgraded depth on the wing and scoring prowess which could be a difference maker in close games.

She tweaked her back a couple of weeks ago.

My gut tells me it'll be a woman's sport because they never make examples out of the men's sports. 🙄

My bet is either women's basketball or gymnastics.
LSU men’s basketball actually has gotten in trouble multiple times (see former coach fired)

I did some digging and allegedly this is about LSUs baseball program and a player not fully reporting all NIL income as per guidelines. And many other schools have gotten this letter recently about not fully reporting earnings in NIL

I don't think it's WBB or gymnastics.

LSU baseball makes sense

Just make all NIL recipients turn in their tax returns with the NIL reports. If they “fail to report NIL” to the IRS, they have bigger problems than the College sports z commission
