Stewie absolutely dominating Q4. She's up to 37 and 14 boards. 15 assists for Bird. Loyd has 28, gotta get her to 30 too. Storm have stretched the lead back to 15.
edit--oops, shortchanged Birdy by 1 assist; that's a career high for her
Clark finished 2-13. I'm not sure if she's taken that many shots in a game before. The poor shooting certainly was uncharacteristic. Howard had a nice run in Q2 but sat out a lot of this game, only finished w/ 6 points in 21 minutes. Only had 2 fouls...I didn't hear anything about her getting hurt, not sure what's up w/ the low minutes. Anyway Seattle has to feel pretty good winning by double digits w/ that pair not doing much, although they can't count on 60+ from Stewie and Loyd every game.
On the other hand 10-21 from 3 is not normal for Las Vegas, but they only shot 35% overall. Wilson really struggled hitting 6-20. McCoughtry had 20, McBride, Robinson and Young were all in double figures. A lot of the things that went wrong against the Sun were better tonight, and they still lost handily.
Clark missed three shots on one possession. Hopefully Howard will play better offensively in game two. I think if Loyd continues her hot shooting, the Storm will win easily because I believe Stewart will continue her outstanding play.
She was a bit off in game 3 against Minnesota, but Loyd has been unbelievably good in the rest of Seattle's playoff games. Combined 25-36 from the floor and 10-16 behind the arc in the other 3 games. That's insane shooting!
Stewie vs Wilson matchup was even more lopsided when considering direct matchup. Of course part of this was keeping Stewie off of Wilson so she would not get cheap fouls.
