Paid $576 for two tickets in the red section at XL Center last year. This says it's going to $486 this year, unless I'm missing something and you had to donate anyway to get better priority for seats. Again, I could be missing something but I don't think this is a bad thing.
For people with good seats it's going to cost them more.

that's how I'm reading it - we have 2 seats at XL in the lower corner, so it'll be $400 (x2) plus the season ticket cost plus the FIT fee. I could be wrong, but that's how I read it.

Gonna need to get the ushers hyped up because they just generated empty seats downstairs while giving away seats upstairs.

At least now the per game giveaways aren’t quite so stupid.

With the seat selection this year I was able to move down. However, now I've moved to low, since I'm in the 800 dollar allowance at XL. Only 400 at Gampel (what a bargain). so on top of the seat prices and the current donations, my 4 seat will cost an additional 1600 at Gampel and 3200 at XL (4800 total). Who is going to pay that annually on top of all the other donations and ticket prices. we are so $#%^@

I'm confused, is that (in my case) $400 a one-time payment to license the seat? Or will it be an annual payment that I need to make to keep that seat?

Is this actually simpler and more direct than the donation and points system?
Could be good in that people who really want a lower level seat and can afford it simply walk in and buy them for one year - this could facilitate some new blood.

But by upping that cost and putting it all on a one-year basis it further highlights the ridiculously high per game costs and bad value of a season ticket. If you are paying say $2,400 ($2 x $800 licenses, 2 x $400 tickets) for 2 seats to 10 games that's $120 a ticket. You know you'll miss 25% and are indifferent about another 25%.
So you scalp your way in, overpay for each ticket but pay way less - 175 x 5 x 2 = $1,700
In actuality I can't imagine that it ever cost more than $100/seat for anything but the first few rows all of this past year.

not saying we'll do the same with basketball, but your math formula is why we finally decided to dump our football season tickets for this coming year and buy games on the secondary market.

Ugh if the XL is nice I would consider it but these prices are crazy. I’d just go for red, not that’s bad of seats and definantly worth the price. The husky value is nice if you’re purchasing for the whole family, those are dirt cheap.

Got the email and went to the website for details. Don't know how many "courtside" seats are offered, and whether they're in limited supply, but Chief may be one of the few willing and capable of shelling out this many dollars per seat.

Not sure if the minimum annual $10,000 donation for men's seats counts as the required seat donation or if you have to first donate the $10,000, then donate an additional $5,000 per seat for sideline courtside seats at XL, and then pay $1368 per seat. If the latter is the case, it would set you back $22,736 for two seats to nine games. That should help a little towards reducing the annual deficit.

Looking at the chart do you add the seat fee (left column) to the fit fee column beside it for your total cost? For example a value section in white is $25 + $90= $115 XL games?
I’m confused.

Wonder why women’s season ticket holders don’t participate?

Sorry but if we don’t have a strong OOC schedule, not many will pay that kind of $$ to see Tulane, Tulsa, ECU etc. Add crappy early
season gimme games, and it’s a recipe for an empty arena.

So what I would like to know is, is UConn going to allow us to keep the seats we have now if we pony up the new pricing? My seats were in 117, can anyone answer this?

My seats in XL and Gampel are doubling in price. I hate David Benedict. Thanks for Hurley , I guess if you don’t screw that up too.

Not to be mean but they are very cheap fans.
They have vast delusions of being important to the university. This whole exclusion from the new fees tells me all I need to know about thier importance in the grand scheme.

I agree with you, but they're just getting it started anticipating better scheduling and more ticket buyers as the program and the conference gets better.
