Season Ticket Renewals At Reduced Prices

Husky Medic the Homer v. Whaler.
It’s crunch time. I can afford the blue seats and donation but will be damned if cretins crawl into my row unabated.

I’ve had season tickets since 1999. I’ve been in Sec 202 since 2006. I just might migrate back to 205 where I started in 2003 and save a few bucks. Not a bad seat in the joint and no incentive to stay in same section w/ rotating new faces around me each week.

If they let you may as well renew into the family section - it's not like you can't sit anywhere you want in the end zones anyway.
This is exactly it. Why pay more when you can get the cheapest Tix and then sit wherever you want? It's the same logic for why it's not worth it to buy season Tix but still attend any game this year for $5 a game. Heck, you can probably get many for free with the schedule we have this season.

I know many wanna be proud to be a season ticket holder but it just doesn't make much sense financially, especially if things are tight. As long as you go to the game it's better then the majority of folks do.

They've never gotten it. Big Lew was worst of all.

Good start. Next give season ticket holders free parking in the good lots

Fun with charts:

Conservative assumption on the donations 15% tax bracket:

2017 Cost/2018 Cost

Club: $1155/$1254 +8.5%
Lower CB: $755/$800 +5.9%
Mezz: $580/$646 +11.3%
Upper: $430/$441 +2.5%
Pref: $295/$292 -1.5%!!!!!
Reserved: $180/$168 -6.7%
Family ~$160/$96 -40%

Nice discount. Family Section - The official ticket of people who drink beer behind the red line.

You can't even make it up. The family section is literally one section. 137.

Hey dupes - LOOK AT THE DEAL - sure it's only 200 seats but LOOK AT THE DEAL!!!!

I'm done with them and their nonsense. I've had season tickets in some form since 1999 - I'm doing what everyone else does and just buying a $5 ticket in the parking lot.

I get the point you are trying to make, but first you are assuming everyone itemize deductions. And even if everyone did, it is still a reduction from the school's perspective...you can hardly hold them responsible for POTUS.

Even if you don’t itemize it isn’t 10%. It’s not even close if the donation doesn’t get reduced.

And I’d love to see the percentage of people sending seat donations of 4/5/900 who weren’t itemizing.

They think we are stupid. Celebrate that if you like.

I'm not celebrating much these days regarding UConn. On itemizing, I suspect you are right, but many people who itemized in the past won't be now because we have been seemingly singled out for punishment.

I'll be using this opportunity to upgrade. Watching bad football from the same vantage point for the last 7 years has gotten stale.

I swear, you guys would piss off the pope. Enough of this nickel-diming. A ticket, even without the discount, is $30 - $60 a game. That's going out after work with a few friends for a couple of beers. You are probably spending more than that on the tailgate. If there is any chance of getting into a Power 5 conference or even getting better players, we need arses in seats. I live in South Carolina and get season tickets that I can have the athletic department give to families of recruits, kids from the north end of Hartford, or anyone else who wants to see a game, just to get people there. I haven't been to a game in 6-7 years. I'd encourage a few of you to do the same just to get the attendance numbers up until we can improve enough to where people are fighting for tickets. Sheeeezsh.

Always a problem in the blue seats, especially high up.

Has this been brought up? $60 season tickets? I think this is about half of what the old “Top of the Rent” seats went for. Pretty nuts to be able to get season tickets to “big time” college football for under 100 bucks. Obviously fees and stuff but I’m sure you’re still in double figures.

I just bought season tickets for the first time yesterday, section 127 row 6 only 138$ a ticket. I hope this draws season tickets up because these are great deals for good seats. The 60$ sections are awesome deals as well. Time to fill the rent again (Winning would help too) :)
