I'm not sure he'll play more minutes, score more points & grab more rebounds than HS McDonald's All American than Marshall Plumlee. Plumlee is a Beast so far.... Ooops! ;)

Too bad. I was hopeful that he would give UConn a chance. He's going to be a monster for Duke. His freshman numbers and performance at Rice were impressive.

Slow down. He played on a terrible team in a terrible conference, and put up most of those numbers while on the wrong side of blowouts.

He is a very good defensive rebounder, but offers zero rim protection (crucial in the modern game against athletic teams who attack the rim - so, basically, everybody in the ACC) and range only to about 6 feet. He's also consistently struggled with conditioning, which is another huge defensive negative.

That said, I think he'll be an asset, and would gladly have taken him here. But he's not a game-changing recruit by any stretch, even if the media will now make him out to be since he signed for K. He's good depth, situational rebounding and five fouls.

Basically Eric Hayward with better pub.

He is now on the Naismith watch list. Duke subsequently moves up in the polls.*

*for those scoring at home: Duke moved to #1 in the polls when Jabari Parker declared. When Rodney hood declared, they moved up again to occupy the rare #0 spot. The force of the Obi acquisition probably brings them into the uncharted negative number territory.

I think you're underselling him. He had the second best defensive rebounding rate in the entire country as a freshman last year. I don't care who you're playing for or what conference you're in, that's impressive. And those numbers would only improve as he matures. He also hit 60% on his two point field goals. Big body, soft hands. He's going to be a good one.

I believe it goes: 1, 0, i

What? No j? (Because you beat me to i, I had to post that, as only number geeks would understand that joke.)
