I thought of that but from some of the back and forth I have seen on here lately they may have caused a few sucker punches depending on who showed up.

Hadn't thought of that. There are probably a few on here that would like to take a shot at me.

His Dad said they signed on before they knew Coach Buggs was coming here. He said it was just a bonus for them. They know people who knew him but they hadn't met him.
That's cool...hopefully he has a good experience here...between that and Buggs's connections it will help us in that area of the country..which is LOADED talent wise!

Sean McQuillan update: CT scan on head and neck normal; diagnosed with a concussion and will undergo the normal concussion protocol.

Great news.

Alright!! Great news, he'll be ok. Got his bell rung for sure.

Hey everyone I don't want to come off as being crass or disrespectful but..... I do want to say every good team at times hits people so hard that they get carried off the field. Call it what you want, desire to win, intimidation, or just playing the play the full 110% but it happens. Always has in football and always will unless they turn football into something other than what we all grew up playing. As I don't want to see anyone get hurt .... I have to say that it is encouraging that UConn players are hitting with the same ferocity as you would expect from teams like Texas, Bama, or any of the top 25. Again, don't want to see people being carried off in stretchers but it's good to see the Huskies hitting just as hard as anyone. Bring on Towson.

Agreed. The AP released their preseason top 25 and we've got #9 Ville and #17 Michigan visiting The Rent. Definitely a good sign that we're going ballz out in practice.

Great news about Sean. Rest up and get healthy young man.

You guys do realize they weren't supposed to be going balls out though, right? P actually yelled at Mack a bit after the play.

Valid point. But I'd rather P be yelling about too much intensity rather than a lack of it. As long as it doesn't become a cycle where we're picking each other off in practice I consider this an isolated mistake that I can't complain about.

Sean's health is obviously the highest priority but this is Football and you have to expect to get hit.

It's good to hear that Sean's injury doesn't seem to be serious. Here's hoping for a quick and painless recovery...

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. As they say concussions are not to be taken lightly especially in light of the fact that classes are about to start. Hard enough to focus on everything during the season without having had your bell rung. I would imagine that it may be a while before Sean gets back on the field.

Great to hear the injury isn't too serious. Hope for a speedy, thorough recovery.

And I second sportsart's opinion. Sometimes when you drink a beer with someone at a tailgate you get a little more perspective on their point of view. Although I had to prove I wasn't Waylon before he actually took a sip ... :)
