It's the Mustangs turn to come up our way; hard for weather to deter the herd. Always one of my favorite team nicknames all the way back to childhood because of the images elicited, the Mustangs surprisingly feature Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as their team colors.
SMU had some extraordinary backs in the old days. Two of the best also had solid SW style first names: Kyle Rote and Doak Walker, each of whom starred back around WWII, with at least one having his career interrupted to serve. One of them had a brother killed on Iwo Jima....not sure which was which. In those days, we were truly one nation, and virtually everyone pitched in for the common good, in whatever way they could during WWII. Many sacrifices.....and much pride.
As always: who wins it, by what margin of victory, and if needed to break a tie,, what will the actual score be?
Good luck and/or much wisdom.
