Agree 100% on the "Giffey over Daniels" sentiment. I think Daniels will develop into a good player down the line, because he's a decent athlete and seems to have a nice shot. But for this season he has been a huge disappointment. On offense his main role is to stand and the corner and shoot threes, and he doesn't shoot them at a very high clip. He got two good looks tonight and clanked both of them. I have to believe if that was Giffey on the court, he would have nailed at least one of them, because he's money when he's open.
Giffey is also a better defender, he's quicker, and it looks like he plays harder than Daniels. Quite simply, Giffey is the better player at the moment, and while Daniels probably has more potential, there is no reason for Daniels to be playing unless as you said, guys get into foul trouble.
Absolutely agree with you champs. Honestly we are wasting a lot of time discussing daniels and olander when we have bigger fish to fry. Our rotation is perfect now just as I had hoped it would be and the starting lineup is exactly what we needed and our guys are becoming more and more comfortable with their roles.
Boatright, Lamb, Roscoe, Alex, and Andre should be our starting lineup for the rest of the year. Napier first off the bench and should play 25 mintues a game, and he can help us with passing, ball handling, and making some shots. Giffey should be the 7th and final guy that should play and that should be our final rotation.
