the same year? Miami! Really...Miami! Both teams in the final 8.
Then again UConn still has a shot at double rings...2004/2014...2023???

This is the part of nil I feared. Miami billionaire basically bought both Miami teams with Nil. It's sad but we're going to have teams just be deciding by highest bidder for players

Wow, he bought a nine seed? And a men's team that was in the elite 8 last year?

Yeah, I don't think he is spending his money well if all he is getting is a 9 seed and a 5 seed. And lets face it, the men's team have been hired gun teams for years. I think the portal rules changes are going to have bigger implications long term than NIL.

We will remain as the only school with the men and women winning the National Championship in the same year. The Miami women just lost to LSU in the Elite Eight. Some of our streaks came to an end this season so it’s nice that we keep this accomplishment all to ourselves for at least another year.

.-.
And so goes another year with no dual championships as the Miami women end their great run with a whimper against LSU.
Of the initial list all 26 are no longer in the hunt and 22 have lost both teams:

Question for historians:
Was Louisville 2013 the closest any other team has come to a dual championship? Men won and the next night the women played the final against Uconn with Rick Pitino in the audience?

Of course Louisville vacated that season so in retrospect it would not have counted.

This was a good matrix to keep track of through the tournament, thanks, WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR as the Boston Red Sox said for 50 years!

I suspect UConn will also highlight the same list next year too.
