Schadenfreude, Syracuse-style

Don't know if anyone has posted this yet (or maybe we're not supposed to, as it's part of Rivals?), but the implosion at Cuse is picking up steam. I feel just horrible for them.

Don't know you with so low of a posting history so is sarcasm part of this?

I also feel horrible for JB and the program.

You could have written that any time over time over the last 15 years, perhaps longer. For better or worse this the lot of a Syracuse fan and Carmelo may have been a curse as much as a blessing.

Boeheim should have left while he was sort of on top, but he hung around to coach his son. Hard to blame him really, but now look what's up.

His son may blame him based on how his stats hardly improved from last year to this except in the much higher volume of shots taken. Imagine if he transfers?

Carmelo was like a pact with the devil. Got him his championship, got him a big donation to help build their new practice center, but cost him higher expectations upon which he has failed to deliver.

Makes me think of the Kentucky fans who have insane expectations every year based on their latest five McDonald's All-Americans, and yet who year after year suffer the ignominy of defeat at the hands of the likes of the UConn Huskies.:D
