SC fan thinks we're soft

Okay, finally tracked down the "soft" comment on the USCar - Arkansas ESPN Coversation game thread last night. It's by a Columbia SC HS student.

Now taking a comment by some 14-year-old and applying it across the board to all Game-c-o-c-k fans (the they) seems a little stupid. But whatever. Sure, CockyTalk has some Vol-type posters whose standards are trashy low and whose eyesight is slightly better than a mole's, but most just said that USCar has to get better to compete with the Huskies.

I have to say that, overall, the majority of SC fans seem to recognize that their team was beaten by a better team. Sure, there's some grumbling about refs but even they say the perceived home cookin' didn't affect the outcome. Unlike the Tin Foil Hat Brigade, the USC fans seem to live in the real world.

I've been on Cocky Talk for a bit now. There are a few posters that thought the NY Times article re the $$$ revenues of the SEC & SC vs the AAC and UC that would eventually lead to our demise was a planted article by northerners to give us an excuse if we lost to So Carolina. It was intersesting how much distrust of northerners there still is. Being from the north, can't say that I blame them!
