Saturday lineup (11/30)

UCLA's five wins have come over Weber State, Loyola Marymount, Long Beach State, Yale, and Northern Colorado.

Doubt those games prepared them for UCF's tight, physical defense and annoying, plodding offense.
 
Is Kay Kay Wright even playing for UCF? She has 2 points on 2 shots and 1 rebound.

Box score says she's only played 4 minutes. I'm guessing she must've been injured? :(
 
I'm catching the end of Michigan State - Kansas State, and I can't accept Mich St as a top 25 team. They will just barely survive this game against a mediocre K-State team that has losses to UT Arlington and Memphis.
 
UCLA is going to survive. UCF could not score if their life depended on it in the last quarter.

Wonder how that games goes if Wright plays.

UCF had a very similar game last year against Syracuse, also on a neutral court. Low-scoring (of course), held a 4th quarter lead but just couldn't close.
 
Texas is in a dogfight with North Texas, up only 2 points in the 4th quarter.

How ironic would it be for Aston to lose to the school she left to take the Texas job.

Went for a little hike today. I didn't see any of their games in Puerto Rico, but happy they went 3-0. Particularly pleased w/ this win. Iowa is nowhere near the same without Gustafson and several other departed Sr. from last year, but I think they're still decent. Doyle is a baller.

You clearly haven't seen any of Washington's games. :rolleyes: I suspect that their opponents Cal St. Bakersfield, Weber St. and Seattle U. all make the short list for worst teams in the country.

Ha, that's funny! It might be just as contentious about who deserves to be bottom 25 as it is for top 25.

Without looking I'm going to say Chicago State and Mississippi Valley State make the cut.
 
Memphis is making LSU look like offensive wizards, giving up 50 points in the 1st half to a team that barely averages 60 per game.

Today's been a weird day in the "offstage" tournaments.

Oregon State struggles to beat Liberty.
UCLA barely edges out UCF.
Texas struggles against North Texas.
And now this.
 
Green Bay is giving Syracuse everything they can handle. For a good bit of the game they were ahead. However Syracuse has taken a five point lead with 1:42 to go.

I saw the final score but haven't listened to the game yet. Maybe jetlag caught up with the team...or maybe the bad aura from the butt-whooping UNC inflicted on our hapless football program made it over to the islands.
