Saturday 3/23/2019 games

Thanks for starting the game thread, @triaddukefan ! I came down with some awful stomach bug last night, which has had me catching up on sleep all morning :confused:

Punchers chance here now...they need somebody to hit a couple 3’s...anybody

Jen is banging inside though as usual.
 
Switched back to Cats vs Rabbits. Two highlights for me so far: Aryn McClure dribbling for eternity with an SD breathing down her neck, finally making her move and getting STUFFED. Second was diminutive Jen Fay bulling her way through all those big bodies to score.

This might be the worst play by play announcer in the history of play by play. Vic’s daughter being very nice to him by not correcting him on the air.

Everytime I saw the Princeton bench I keep seeing Jasmine sitting there, I know it's her sister, but it was weird.
 
SDSU plays good defense, 30 seconds left and only 2 fouls. Might give Cuse some problems.

The screaming banshee was at several games simultaneously yesterday. So I guess there is more than 1 of them. I turned the volume down to its lowest setting and it was still driving me crazy. I don't understand how making the most annoying sound humanly possible is showing support for your team?

Nan - have you been watching? Have you seen Brittany Davis at all? Committed to Mississippi State, but never made it to campus.
 
ESPN2 switching to UCLA - Tenn (at least in New Haven!). I've seen UCLA play only once, against Oregon, and that team was scary. If they're like that this afternoon I'll be sorry for Tenn, which I would much rather be the opponent for UConn, simply because they're inconsistent and so there would be a better chance of winning.*

*Assuming we get past Buffalo, of course. Apologies mojo gods.

TN/UCLA on ESPN2 in NYC. UCLA up 12-4. They are shooting it up from the perimeter. Alot of early TN fouls as well.
 
UCLA usually isn't a great shooting team, their M.O. is hitting the offensive glass relentlessly. They can't miss so far today.


As I typed that they missed a couple shots but got 2 O boards and eventually scored. That's what they do. Tennessee is hardly getting shots ups thus far.

NC State finished the first quarter on a 10-0 run and leads Maine, 19-10. Kiara Leslie with two THREEs and 8 total points for NC State.
 
Reyna Frost putting up some Pheesa-esque numbers. She has 23 in the first two quarters
 
Green and Westbrook both have picked up 2 fouls in the 1st quarter for Tennessee. You would think physically the teams are fairly equal but UCLA just looks quicker and more athletic. 22-8 lead.
