Southern wins in a barn burner..... 45-41. First NCAA Bid since 2010. At least one team in Baton Rouge is going dancing

Haha. Master of shade.

The MAC teams will not be gimmes in the first round of the Dance. Buffalo doesn’t look like a team that lost to a couple of really crappy teams during the season.

I remember I had a very similar reaction last year when I watched Buffalo-CMU in the MAC final. I didn’t predict they would both be Sweet 16 teams but it was obvious they were no pushovers.

Ok. Mulkey won the tipoff.
Seriously, I think she's like 10 inches taller than the MTSU players guarding her.

Mulkey looks pretty good athletically and has a soft jump shot but A'Queen Hayes has hit a few drives over/around her. Impressive.

Bethune Cookman is headed to the NCAA's for the first time in school history. Champions of the MEAC

Tough day for Norfolk State.... lose in the men's final... then lose in the women's final.. in the same building..... in Norfolk

Great mascot battle in Katy, Texas between the Lumberjacks/Ladyjacks (of SFA) and the Islanders (of TAM-CC).

SFA was down 4 but hit a 3 with about 1:10 left to cut the lead to 1. Then got a turnover on the next possession, missed the layup but got the rebound. Timeout Ladyjacks.

:eek::eek: TAMU-CC advances to the finals of the Southland by upsetting #2 SFA 58-56 on a last season layup. Guaranteed first time champ will be crowned tomorrow.

Down go the two clearly dominant teams in the Southland, who went 17-1 and 16-2 and only lost one conference game between them to a team other than each other. (Interestingly, that one odd loss was by SFA to TAM-CC as well.)

NMSU-UTRGV is tied and hanging on an out-of-bounds review call with 1.8 seconds left.

New Mexico St v UT Rio Grande Valley tied with 1.8 sec left on ESPN3

Dan Hughes & Paul Sunderland

I hate these WCBB finals on CBSNN Head bang Do they have a streaming site that offers a free trial?

My goodness.......... double OT in the WAC ....... darn missed layups

Rice is pulling away from MTSU down the stretch.

New Mexico St. prevails by 3 in 2 OT. I remember them giving Stanford a tough game in the Tourney 2 years ago. One of their stars from that game, Brooke Salas, is still there.

Heartbreak in Vegas.... UTRGV had a chance to tie with 3.2 seconds to go... had a 88% foul shooter on the line.... hits the first... misses the second.. and loses 76-73 :(:( I think the player who missed the ft had the ball with a few seconds to go..... but didnt get a shot off before the final buzzer sounded.

Hawaii is up 32-18 at the half over UC Davis. UCD keeps winning their conference regular season but losing in their conference tourney. Could it happen again?

Doesnt look good so far for the UC-Davis Aggies... down 32-18 at the half to Hawaii.

The last second foul given to NMST should have been a flagrant. (2 + ball). I have seen cow wrestlers take down steers with less contact but I guess they will not call anything like that at end of 2OT.

Check out the end of the Fla-Aub men's game.

UC Davis on a 13-0 run to take the lead in 4Q over Hawai'i. 51-45 with 2:02 to play. The Rainbow Wahine have gone ice cold.

Both Rice and UC Davis completed second-half comebacks to snag the automatic bid.

I would've liked to see what the committee would do with Rice if they'd lost today (and also see if they might knock Tennessee out). But alas, yet again, no bid thefts today.
