Sarah to Represent 3x3 for the US (merged thread)

The rest of the USA roster includes Mikayla Williams (LSU), Sahara Williams (OK) and 31 year old Cierra Burdick who played at TN some years back, played in the W for awhile and is currently a free agent.

This announcement is for the 3X3 Women's "Series." There is
also, a separate U 19 FIBA competition which Sarah is
still eligible.
See more at www.usab.com/news. The Women's "series" runs from
May until September. However, The FIBA competition "ROSTER" that I
am waiting for is the "FIBA U19 Women's Basketball World
Cup 2025" in Brno, Czechia. This "UNDER 19" competition runs from July 12 to
July 20th and the USA is in GROUP A with initial matches
against Korea, Hungry, and Israel. Sarah has won GOLD at
this event in multiple years and since this is AGE LIMITED
(A roster player must be U19 before Jan. 1, 2025) this will
be a separate competition than the " Women's Series". (PLEASE note:
in the announcement noted at the start of this thread, the ROSTER for the 3X3 "WOMEN'S SERIES", that the roster is not limited to players under 19 years of
age. Sarah Strong's Birthday is February 3, 2006. Add 19 years and
that becomes 2/3/2025. So, while she IS currently 19 years old, she was U19
on January 1, 2025 (That is how FIBA determines all these age group
competitions). I'm watching the www.usab.com/news webpage to
see who will represent the USA at the "World Cup". KK Arnold was
on the USA's "World Cup" 3X3 team some years ago. Sarah was
on last year's team with Jasmine Davidson, Saniyah Hall, and Arianna
Roberson. They won the GOLD and Sarah was the MVP. All those
games are archived on the FIBA webpage. Note I often rewatch the highlights
of these games (Sarah Highlights!) by googling: SARAH STRONG FIBA HIGHLIGHTS, and I especially recommend the You Tube version at "USA'S # 1 Prospect! SARAH STRONG MIXED TAPE 3X3 Basketball". It is worth a viewing =
It is only 4 minutes15 seconds long. ENJOY!!!Z

FIBA has a 3x3 channel that should be available on YouTube.

You're right (and thanks!). Here are the live streams for the women:

You can click the links to see the start time for each stream translated to your time zone. Also, there's a Notify Me button in the lower left of the video, but that only works when you are logged into YouTube.

The streams show all the games so they probably go on for hours. I'm hoping to guess the start time within the streams of Sarah's games using the official schedule (Marseille, France time):

Highlights -

Sarah is a "FORCE". So far USA wins over Ireland, Madrid, and
Poland. I can also see the video replays on my Microsoft link. I could not
access the live games or replays on my GOOGLE account. Consider:
Fiba 3X3 THE 3X3 Basketball Channel. Then hit "video" link and
finally scroll though ALL the videos to see one with USA vs (either)
Ireland, Madrid, or Poland. The end of game comments by the
announcer, against Poland, reports: Sarah="good hands on
defense" and " Sarah Strong showed up" (with some great plays to
hold off Poland in the last minutes). Great stuff! Pool play today with
Knockout rounds on Sat and Finals on Sunday.

Vs Poland:

Sarah did more standing around in this game then she did last year. Also never attempted a three or a jumper of any kind. I think she'll get better as the tourney goes. That said. she did show her great hands and finishing skills inside. Also made two really good passes that were not completed for baskets.

That’s some funky spacing. I thought my 1 bourbon was kicking in.

Sarah struggled against Madrid. Haven't seen the Ireland replay anywhere.

Have to admit that this is not my favorite kind of basketball......btw where are the fans?
The fans are in "the peanut gallery": i.e. opposite the basket behind
the scorer's table etc. In bigger venues there are stands in a 360
degree circle, generally within an outdoor tent.
BTW I do enjoy this type of basketball, the more you watch the
better it gets (at least l think so). I am still watching the 3X3 highlights
of Sarah at last year's FIBA U18 World Cup.
