Yes. Bird, DT, Bueckers all did for UCONN. (Leiberman). These other awards (Drysdale, Miller, McClain, Leslie) didn't start til 2018.

I would imagine so because this award is for a specific position, while NPOY is for the overall best player, so two different criteria IMO.

It would be illogical to have a POY be rendered ineligible for a positional award like the McLain. But logic sometimes leaves the building.

A lot of nice players but realistically the only ones in the conversation for making an All America team are Joyce Edwards and Toby Fournier. Strong is the easy runaway pick here.

It’s ironic that Joyce and Sarah know each other so well from high school, having been rivals all along, and they still are. Sarah chose very well in her commitment and it has launched her into national prominence. It’s hard to imagine a better platform for her talents.
